I seen a tweet about the unique appetizers at this place and wanted to try them. I had frogs legs, camel kabobs and the alligator grilled cheese sandwich. I enjoyed the frogs legs and the kabob but I think I'll stay away from alligator in the future. Not their fault, just didnt like the flavor.The service was excellent. I didn't believe they actually had these exotic items, but they showed me proof. The food also came incredibly quick eventhough they were quite busy.The restaurant itself was different than we expected. We did one of our favourite trips from Ingolf through the Whiteshell including a hike to Pine Point Rapids to work up an appetite as we were headed for Jennifer's at Seven Sisters. We had not been there for several years as they had closed their regular restaurant and opened a food truck. We were not disappointed except for the missing red cabbage side dish. The Wiener Schnitzel was excellent as well as the potatoes and salad that came with it. The two portion size was ample. They have som exotic items on the menu including camel, alligator, sturgeon and frogs legs. We tried the frogs legs and decided next time to get more adventurous. Would love to try the Sturgeon but with so many choices...
I'm writing this review on behalf of my mom, who dined here and could not stop raving about it!She states: The food was excellent. The camel kebab was great. The dinner included two pieces of wienerschnitzel, a small side salad and potato salad for only $10 including taxes. Delicious and an amazing value.The employees were very warm and welcoming.The service area was comfortable and clean.They are only open Victoria Day until Labour Day, unfortunately. She will try to go as often as possible!
The only options if you are gluten sensitive were fries and salad but they were good. My friends had the lemon pepper chicken with potatoes and salad, huge portions with not a morsel left on the plates. Everything is done fresh each day and they are famous for their "Wiener Schnitzel". Fast friendly service, all take out with cozy picnic tables to sit at, complete with flowers and recycling bins for water bottles/pop cans. If you are in the area, "You gotta eat here". We were on a day trip from Winnipeg to check out the power dam, came across Jennifer's so stopped in for a bite. We did not know what they served, we were surprised. We both had the schnitzel, incredibly good flavour, portions were just right, and the price was very reasonable. Wish this place was closer to Winnipeg as would become a regular spot, service great , quick and the owners very friendly.Very clean and professional.Wow wish I could give more than 5 stars.
We dropped in for lunch June 29, 2017 during a day trip from Winnipeg to Pinawa.I had the schnitzel (fantastic), my wife enjoyed the lemon-pepper chicken. Fresh, fast, delicious and unbelievably affordable - an excellent well-prepared meal at fast-food prices! Owners are very friendly and obviously love what they do.. Note: very casual dining: picnic tables outside, paper plates, no alcohol, and cash only.
Went for a drive and wanted to take the wife to the restaraunt. I was surprised to see that the owner opened a food truck but offered many of his staples. The schnitzel is the feature but I went with the lemon pepper chicken. Wow, portions are generous and the flavours are great.Will definitely be back next summer.
We love to stop here on the way to cottage country. We LOVE the potatoes and the dressing on the salad is THE best. We do miss the sweet and sour cabbage though. Be sure to bring cash. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
This food truck serves yummy food at a decent price! Made with care and plated beautifully it's worth stopping on the way to or from the Whiteshell for something to eat!
