This is my go-to spot when I do not feel like cooking egusi soup or cassava leaf. I’m Nigerian so I’ve tried some places around town that weren’t that great. I’ve never had a bad experience here. The egusi is top tier. I usually only get the egusi and cassava leaf with beef or goat and moi moi. All the other menu items, I make at home but I would definitely try it if I didn’t cook. As far as the spice, it’s perfect! I always ask for more spice too. Nigerian food is typically spicy. I’m sure this place cooks in bulk and most of the customers don’t mind the spice. If they were to cook a small batch without spice I’m sure that food would go to waste. If you don’t like spice, this is not the pla...

I visited the restaurant on Sunday, June 16th, and my experience was quite disappointing. The fair-skinned lady with the short haircut took over 15-20 minutes to pack my order of jollof rice and plantain. While I waited, several other customers came and went. After more than 20 minutes of waiting, I was served just two tablespoons of rice along with four pieces of fat and bone for the goat meat I had requested. Additionally, another server, an older woman with braids, was quite rude when I inquired about an item. It's important to remember how you treat customers; without them, there’s no business. Just some food for thought.

The only reason this restaurant did not receive five stars is because I feel the food is overly spicy and hot … very flavorful, but just too damn hot… i’ve heard many customers complain about the food. Being too spicy but they just ignore it. I wish they offered pepper sauce on the side instead as an option because this is not the type of food you could feed to your kids…. if it wasn’t for this problem, I would eat there more often… so far I’ve ordered the cassava leaf and curry goat. They give very nice portions, and the prices are fairly decent

The moment I dropped my American accent and spoke with my Nigerian accent, he became verbally aggressive. He recognized that I'm from the same country he is, where the treatment of Igbo women can be quite harsh. I could go on and on, but it still wouldn't truly convey the horror of my experience with this restaurant owner, who clearly needs to improve his approach immediately. It's really disappointing. Great, no-frills West African place. Jodeem easily outpaces regional competitors on flavors. Earthy, spicy, sweet in all the right proportions. We got the bitter leaf soup with beef, spinach and beans with chicken, and beef patties. The bitter greens were the clear winner in fragrance and

Website says they close at 10pm. I got there at 9 and they were closed. They need to either fix their time on the website or close at the time it says cause I wasted my time coming all the way down there.

I like the taste of the food. I am not from Africa. I will keep spending my money there for good food. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
