Had not been to Joes in 30 years.... Went an a Sunday evening and it was easily the best dining experience I have gad in a long time. Geno out waiter was beyond great, the servers, runners, line cooks and even the busboys were exceptional. Wow!!! Then there was the food. great comfort food classic Filet, Onion rings the best I have ever had anywhere) perfect béarnaise ,Calamari steak... and great drinks .... The service was fantastic.. smooth attentive, fun, professional ...... It all worked in harmony like I have seldom seen. Throw it all in with the old school charm and history of Joes and it was a night to remember. Joes is a Classic experience.... so much more than just a place to eat an...
Best Manhattan in Santa Barbara! I had two! and made with real Luxardo Maraschino Cherries! The absolute top shelf Manhattan! We had a terrific Prime Rib, Filet Mignon, and Braised Short Ribs! Every bite was fantastic! All Cooked to perfection for three very different pallets.
Joe's is a GREAT place anytime of day! We were staying across the street at Hotel Santa Barbara. We had restaurant choices, yet we frequently ate at Joes. It's comfortable, fun and classic !
Joes never disappoints, absolutely adore Denise. Spencer is a great asset, always keeping track of what the customer needs. Cobb salad, clam chowder and fries is the total comfort menu.

This is a large diner with a large menu I ordered their steak special, which was under $20 and came with mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables.
Overall truly recommend Joe's. Great food and range of menu, including Californian sparkling wine. A tradition and ambiance from a bygone age.
Joe's Cafe is always reliable, good food, attentive waiters and good value. The portions were normal, questionable for sharing.
