A table of 12 people is never easy. Especially when they just show up without a reservation. Well that's what we did to Joey's and they handled it with aplomb. In fact, the service was professional, efficient and friendly. Well done. The food was also good. And the decor was nice. Perhaps the only downside is that beer menus are all the rage. Everyone is trying to out-do each other with local craft beers on tap. Joey's opts for a few tried and true taps from elsewhere. Oh the beers are fine, but if you are looking to try some new suds, Joey's may disappoint. Otherwise, good spot!
Still giving a 4/5, food was perfect: quick on busy night, priced right, very tasty. We were sat at the bar for a table on patio, but there was 2 available tables, we didn't complain, there might've been a reason since both hostess were professional and on point. Drink were great too, but here's the damn on issue I had with that night, I ordered a Guinness, please don't serve small glasses of Guinness, if you do; please offer two sizes... Very fancy and great for a night out. Too busy and loud for business.
Very spacious and hip-looking place. We got a booth which left great space for my stroller. The restaurant has the high chairs that hang from the table. It was great for my baby. Fantastic drink menu. Great selection for meals, including nice asian options. I recommend the yellowfin tuna salad. The mushroom soup is hearty but a tad too salty. My mom had the Bahn mi. She loved it; it was a big plate. Service was excellent. Washrooms are super cool, especially the grand dryers.
We were there last night with friends. Delicious! I had as appetizer the gyozas, to die for, and for main course I had the steak sushi, very good. The service was good! Everyone enjoyed their meal. The andicap was that the music is very very loud! We could hardly here ourselves talking. Very annoying! I don't understand why so loud! Next time I will ask for the terrace, not inside. A good vibe, lots of fun. Staff were very friendly, chatting, and Eliza Charbonneau, the Day Manager was very kind and made us feel glad we went. We started with the Japanese Gyoza - so tasty - had paella and the Bistro Chicken. Both were terrific and the chicken so moist and flavourful. Not salty. Best coleslaw. Paella was perfectly cooked. Service was fast, friendly and we had a great time! Have already picked what we will try next time.
La cuisine est soignée et bonne. Juste une petite remarque, nos plats, bien que tous différents, étaient assez épicés (gingembre notamment je sens). Ce déséquilibre est dommageable, surtout que les produits sont frais et de bonne qualité. Pour le reste la salle est agréable (pas trop bruyante) et le personnel efficace et attentif. Enfin, le rapport qualité prix est bon. Seul bémol, il y a du monde donc risque d'attente.
We had lunch on the patio on a sunny Sunday afternoon. The 5 of us all had something different and everything was delicious. We tried the Indian chicken curry (spicy but not hot), the ban mi sandwich (exceptional - the chicken was so tender), the California chicken sandwich (well cooked on fresh bread), the fish tacos (all homemade and very fresh) and the beef sliders (tender beef on fresh brioche buns). Great place!

food very ordinary ok stead and salad what can you do wrong with that.. frankly it was very busy and had to wait a while to be served even though we had a reservation
