During my recent trips to Minnesota, I discovered an amazing pizza place that I highly recommend. This restaurant serves up some of the best pizzas I have ever tasted, with a texture and flavor reminiscent of authentic New York-style pizza. If you want the full experience, I highly recommend eating in, as the pizza is so much better fresh out of the oven. Whenever I'm in the area, I make it a point to visit this establishment. I’m from Boston and Joey Nova’s is hands down the best East Coast pizza in Minneapolis. Pizza in New England, New York, New Jersey is not something to fill your stomach it’s a religion. If you own a pizza place and your pizza sucks you should lose your business license. Period. The dough has perfect soft , crisp and semolina undercarriage is perfect. Sauce- perfect tangy not sweet and cheese if I had to guess is full fat low moisture mozzarella maybe Grande or Bacio. Provolone is no no. Joey’s nails it. One of the best pizzas that I’ve ever had! Delicious New York style pizza. Highly recommend eating in as it’s so much better fresh out of the oven. We try to come here any time we visit the area. We’re big fans of their Hawaiian pizza which they make with real Canadian bacon and fresh pineapple. Recently I had a double pepperoni pizza and it was incredible I highly recommend trying it! Our favourite combination is doing half and half of each on an extra large!
As a lover of pizza who has had it various places around the twin cities, United States, and Europe, I have yet to find a pizza I like better than Joey Nova's! The dough is amazing, the sauce is perfect, the cheese is just how I like it, and the toppings are fresh and delicious. It can get very busy, but the staff and their service are generally great. Driving up from the southeast corner of EP is still easier than going home to PA. Lovely people. Great pizza. Get the XL for the most east coast authentic crust experience. And to order go off peak to avoid the sometimes-massive (but generally worth it! wait times.
They have the best pizza crust. It tates rich and is the right mix of chew and crunch. I would like the garden veggie pizza to be a little less salty, though, but that is just me. The fresh basil is wonderful.
You're a fool if you don't like the food here. If you're originally from New York and miss authentic New York style pizza, this is the place to go.
