The pizza at Joey Tomatoes is no longer what I remember from the past 15 years. It simply doesn't taste good anymore. When I asked one of the staff members if there was new ownership, she replied yes, but I'm not sure she really understood my question. Unfortunately, the pizza has lost its deliciousness, and I'm really disappointed. I paid $20 for 2 slices, a small fountain soda, and a bottled soda. Also, there is now only one bathroom for both men and women, while the other one is marked as private.
Wow! For just $6 a slice, you can get an economical triangle of frittered cardboard to nibble on at the boardwalk. Amazing that you can get two slices of worse pizza than Domino 's for the low, low price of what a pie costs everywhere else! Incredible that the sauce could be so bland, yet so renowned, on this extravagantly priced BS. I ate there like a week ago and I 'm still furious about it.
I tried pizza here last year and didn't care for it much it was extremely greasy... Gave them another chance this week and I actually enjoyed it very much. The crust was very good and airy and I also enjoyed the sauce and this time it was not excessive with grease. 1 pizza and 4 sodas was $48... A little pricey but it's to be expected when you eat on the boardwalk.
Joey Tomatoes has been a place where my belly thanks me every time I eat here.. Dough is soft and crispy, cheese smooth filling flavor, that the marinara just boost everything to the top.. So many toppings to choose from.. My favorite is Pepperoni If you are around come in and got flavored up.. Ps: whole pie is 22

Honestly, as someone who's walked by for a long time but never dined in, I finally discovered what I had been missing. I tried the buffalo chicken, fresh margherita, chicken bacon ranch, and cheese pizzas... I really should have come here much sooner!
Great service! I ordered my slice, and was offered a glass of ice water. The pizza was good and I was even asked how everything was even though it’s not a sit down restaurant. I highly recommend if your on the boardwalk and need a snack!
Totally overpriced for a large cheese pizza $34.00 Plus we got large drinks $6.95 and when we asked for a refill they told us no refills allows totally crazy considering we just paid $6.95 for each drink
I paid $36 for a pizza that was terrible! It was undercooked and didn’t taste good at all. I’ll be sticking with 3 Brother's Pizza in Seaside. No regrets here! That's just how I feel.

The always delicious pizza could have stood and few more minutes in the oven on the busy evening that we visited. That said, it was still delicious the service gracious.
Fot me they make the best pizza in NJ. Good food, fun time and nice people too. Five Stars !
