I used to live in the neighborhood and ordered from here all the time. Now that I've moved to Brooklyn, I can honestly say that no other pizza shop comes close to John Joe's. I returned after a few years, and everything tasted just as I remembered. It almost brought me to tears. The portions, prices, and quality are all exactly as I remembered, if not better. I apologize if the photo isn't the most flattering, but the flavor and deliciousness speak for themselves. Their sauce, cheese, and everything else are truly unparalleled and bring back so many nostalgic memories.
I've been visiting this restaurant for 34 years, since 1983, and it’s always bustling because the food is fantastic. So, if you call in, just be patient! The slices, chicken parmesan calzones, and stuffed spinach slices have consistently kept me satisfied and happy over the years. Now I'm craving it again...!
Got the pepperoni pizza and garlic knots with cheese! I see the garlic knots is the best! And best when warm ???? pepperoni pizza is good.. took one star off cause of the waiting time! Would definitely gonna come back and try other flavors! ??
Absolutely the best garlic knots! They’re just $10 for a treat that tastes like it’s worth a lot more. You won't find that much love baked into such a small dish anywhere else. Plus, the marinara sauce is freshly made every time!

Looks like since the owner is not currently going, customers service is lacking. When l called they haven't picked up and when they did had on hold for over5 min hang up and ordered elsewhere
Love the delicious pizza and wonderful service! The pies are reasonably priced for a family of six. Slices are very big and two slices are more than sufficient per person!
One of New York real old-fashioned pizzas where they know all the customers and all customers are repeat customers
