The staff was incredibly friendly, and the service was excellent! We really enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere inside. The place operates as a bakery before noon and transitions into both a restaurant and bakery after that. Perhaps it was because it was a Sunday, but most of the bakers had already left by noon! Their menu changes daily, so there's always something new to try. They use flour that is ground within 18 hours, which helps retain the nutrients in their baked goods. We ordered focaccia, and it was fresh, soft, warm, and lightly seasoned with sea salt. They also recommended the mutton couplings, which were perfectly cooked and beautifully roasted, served with a sweet and tangy mint sau...
The decore and ambience is lovely. Might be a prob if coming with wet coats, as there doesn't seem to be anywhere to hang coats ? and the space between tables is cramped. But we went on a lovely summer's evening, so the venue was just perfect. The service was also great. We had 9 dishes they're small and designed for sharing, so we're not as gluttonous as we sound! . About half of the dishes were are outstanding. Other dishes were so so and average. The price was really reasonable for the quality of food. Would definitely recommend this place if in the area.
I have been going to Jolene since they opened and Jolene is my #1 favourite spot in London. It is great for dine-in breakfast, lunch and dinner, and their takeaway coffees and pastries are a no brainer good time. They also just cook fish REALLY well (lemon and brown butter sole or cod cheeks anyone? I’ve enjoyed many a special occasion here and it has been perfect every single time! I bring everyone visiting London here and they are always impressed. We love Joleeeeeeene!
Great spot for sharing plates. Lovely atmosphere and very friendly service. Decent sized outside area too for when things warm up! We tried most things in the menu, and they were all great. Loved the cavateli and rigatoni in particular! There were 6 of us, we had two bottles of wine between us, welcome cocktail, digestif...came to £90 each so pretty good value. the Focaccia bread was some of the best I had, along with an excellent ragu pasta and mozzarella dishes. would certainly come back for their dinner menu. the staff really went out of the way to be friendly and helpful. I warn that this is more a weeping than it is a brunch place in itself. can not wait to try the dinner menu.
It was one of the best dining experiences I've had in London. The atmosphere is down-to-earth, the orange wine recommendation was fruity and refreshing, the food was incredible, and the staff was very friendly. I will definitely be coming back often.
Food was delicious, service efficient, great vibes. Wanted to buy some focaccia to take home but they refused to sell us any !
