Good Taiwanese cuisine in the area. I was surprised to find that they have stinky tofu here, which is quite a controversial dish. If you can eat it, you’ll love the dish and the smell dearly; but if you can’t take it, it’s the worst smell and taste food that you’ll disdain forever : We tried the stinky tofu and quite liked it. I don’t know if they did it right or not because I certainly didn’t smell anything bad, but the taste was acceptable and unique. Down home, authentic Taiwanese dishes really take you back. The braised pork knuckles were an absolute standout (I had no idea they could be this good! tender, perfectly seasoned, not fatty full of soft tendons like ham in the making. The stinky tofu was a bit too dry, but hey, you can hardly find them anywhere. The basil eggplant was another can't get enough dish, full of flavors. Of course, our host knew how to order, but the restaurant gets credit for offering such a variety of flavors. Will go back.
The portions are generous, but the dishes fall short on flavor. The food is fresh, and the presentation is appealing, so I was really looking forward to dining here. However, after trying five different dishes, I can confidently say that none of them had much taste. I found myself needing to add chili paste just to bring some seasoning to the meal. Overall, it was quite disappointing.
When I visited for the first time, I used some very traditional home-cooked dishes with a strong taste, which gave me a sense of nostalgia. The fried noodles and kimchi are both extremely delicious. The taste of the hot and sour soup remains unchanged. It is basically the same taste as before, and it has not become a tangerine.

The food is okay. I like the sour soup and maybe the fried rice noodle. I wouldn’t say this is a place you would come for Taiwanese street food but it does serve the family dishes you see in Taiwan. Service is friendly and environment is okay : !
Stopped in at lunchtime. Very busy. Ordered spicy general chicken with broccoli, garlic green beans w pork and white rice. All were delicious. Service was all business and very hot food hit the table in short order. Def would go back.
The food and service were outstanding. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that the dishes were prepared with the right ingredients, even offering versions with and without certain items to accommodate a guest with allergies.

This is probably the most authentic Taiwanese food in the Bay Area! The stinky tofu brought back memories of Taiwan, and all the other dishes were incredibly delicious as well. I will definitely return!
