I was disappointed with my experience, primarily due to their inability to prepare an Affogato correctly, despite having it on the menu. Instead of the traditional hot espresso poured over ice cream, I was served cold coffee with ice cream, which completely missed the mark. When I politely pointed out that Affogato typically includes hot espresso or cappuccino, no effort was made to correct the mistake or offer a new one. This lack of attention to detail and service left me quite unsatisfied.
My preschool son wants to leave this positive review about JP Licks: You can eat so much ice cream, one scoop or else it will drop. not too many flavors. two or three flavorrs or five also you can put toppings. you can put 3 or 4 or 5 or 6 or 7 or 8 or 9 or 10 or 13 or 14 toppings. and also you can go to any place you want only if at night or at day if they are closed. also some people are nice that you can meet. so have a great day at JP licks, bye! JP licks is a Brookline classic, great to stop by for any occasion whether it be after a meal or seeing a movie at the Coolidge theater, it’s always nice to have delicious ice cream! There’s always a large assortment of fresh flavors and they’re much better than the stuff u can find in stores. It’s a great option for a snack and especially awesome in the summer! Service: Dine in
Took our friends here for dessert on Saturday evening, we’re regulars and wanted to show our friends from out of town. The lady serving was borderline rude and rushed through our order so she could get back to the back room chat. I didn't understand why the menu said that the sundae with two flavors was almost $10 and when I went to pay they charged me $21... I ordered exactly what it said was included: 2 flavors and 2 toppings. I thought it was absurd that they charged me $21... I won't go back and I don't recommend it. The menu says one price but they charge you double.
The food was great, the service was awesome. They were quick with the service once they knew what we wanted (first timers). A good amount of seating too. Bathrooms could have been a bit cleaner though. Service: Dine in Meal type: Other Price per person: $10–20
