We had a nice time enjoying the food at this cozy spot, but our first experience was marred by a rude and sassy middle-aged server. When I mistakenly thought he was a fellow customer and asked, "Do you order here?" he snapped back loudly, "Do I work here?! Why do you think I'm running around here looking stupid?! She asks if I work here!" This outburst drew the attention of everyone in the room and was both shocking and disappointing. Thankfully, another server stepped in later and gave us excellent service. We hope our generous tip goes to her since it's unfortunate that our initial encounter overshadowed what could have been a completely pleasant visit.
We visited this restaurant for brunch on a Saturday afternoon, and it was a great experience! I tried the JP Benedict, which is served on cornbread instead of the usual English muffin. It was absolutely delicious. My friend ordered the beet salad, and although it initially arrived without the beets, the staff was exceptionally accommodating and had it remade without us having to request it. Everyone was so friendly and helpful; we truly felt well looked after. The prices are also fantastic! You can enjoy a substantial amount of high-quality food at a reasonable price. I highly recommend this place!
Service was excellent. Food was mediocre. Cazuela de Frijoles, the bean stew, completely flavorless. Clearly not done with sufficient time to stew the flavors. Arepa de choclo con queso, the masa to make the arepa was old and stale, couldn’t swallow first bite because the flavor was so off putting. Wasted cash. Wouldn’t recommend breakfast here, probably lunch and dinner are better. Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
So rude the waiter was rude and just sits on talking doesn't want to do anything the chef is rude and his chicken was dry and chewy. The host was so sweet though.
