Went to Casa De Montecristo for a date. It was my girlefriends first experience and walking in she immediately loved the ambiance. She was impressed by how big the selection of cigars they had. A little overwhelming but we did have a staff member help which made it much easier to chose something she liked. Once our purchase was made we made our way over to the dining section where we had a reservation. It was definitely busy as expected for a Saturday evening. We were seated right away. The waitresss was back and forth between tables but made her way toward us to take a drink order. Been going there for 25 years, made a reservation for the usual high-windowed dining room and they told us (party of 3) to sit in a far away no window dining area, so the main dining area wouldn't be too crowded, and a waitress could serve the far away dining room insuring her share of tips. The manager was terse and not friendly and doesn't know how to manage staffing. We wound up moving to the bar which was fine. Our pizza came cold... service was poor...they made a good drinks. Service has really deteriorated under this newest manager.
The brand was fantastic in helping me choose a selection of cigars as a beginner. They were very knowledgeable about the various options and recommended choices that would taste and perform well for someone who doesn’t smoke cigars frequently. The food was average, and the service was on par with that. It's a spacious venue, perfect if you're looking to enjoy a cigar along with some scotch, whiskey, or beer.
Making a reservation was a breeze, and the reminder notifications were really helpful. The staff was fantastic, and the variety of cigars available is incredible. My coworker, who had never been there before, was truly impressed by the layout. Several of my coworkers are regulars at JR Cigar. The food was delicious, and we're already looking forward to our next visit!

Requested days in advance to have two groups sit together. Management wanted no part of even trying to accommodate us. Could have easily been done. Due to our waitress it eventually worked our. I have been a loyal customer for a very long time. Very disappointing. Again it could have very easily been done but management couldn’t be bothered.
I always enjoy coming here and am a regular patron. The food is pretty good for the type of establishment, nothing overly fancy. The bar has a great selection of drinks. The wait staff is consistently courteous and often remembers your name and your usual drink order.
The shop offers a wide variety of options, and the restaurant provides friendly and attentive service. Enjoying a cigar with any entrée adds a nice touch. The bar is well-stocked as well.
Michael and his staff at the restaurant inside Casa de MonteCristo Whippany is top-notch! I have never had a problem with anything there.

I can’t believe you charge $15-20 for an entree and then serve it on a plastic plate with plastic utensils!
Always a good time and great service from all. Emily in the restaurant is always the best !!!!
