Was in the mood for a really good sandwich and headed over to J.T. 's to see what they have to offer. The restaurant is small (five tables) but is a clean and bright space. You order and pay for your sandwiches at the counter in the back of the restaurant. We tried the Corn Dog, upgraded to a footlong, the Grinder sandwich (pictured) and a fries to split. The fries and corn dog were both good. The Grinder sandwich left a lot to be desired. It was good but can be significantly improved with some minor changes. Every time I see JT’s Genuine Sandwiches I think I can’t just pass this, like the Pentagon and their audits.JT’s has gotten a lot of hype for their sandwiches and their burger. I can confirm that the hype is not only well deserved but real. I got the steak and potato sandwich that had literally the meat, potatoes and cheese. I also ended up getting the tenderloin sandwich as well because I’m trying to grow to 6’1. Both were packed to the brim with flavor.My g/f ended up getting a taco salad and taking my fries. She was smiling ear to ear with each fry she took and later said the fries were in a tier by themselves.Vegetarian options: Have a lot of vegetarian options
Food, service, cleanliness what else could you ask for? I don't live in the neighborhood, but any time I pass through, I try to eat here. The staff, in addition to just being friendly and kind, also accommodated a food allergy in the most helpful and understanding way I've ever encountered, without making a big fuss and production about it. Cannot say enough good things about here (I suppose the prices could be cheaper, but that's true everywhere these days).
A group of seven of us came in for lunch. We were able to quickly order and food came out quickly. Our group ordered many different sandwiches and each person thought their food was some of the best they have ever had. I’ve popped in here several times after moving to the neighborhood and it’s become a go-to. The team is super friendly and the sandwiches are awesome. My particular favorites are the roast turkey and the steak and potato. Both are hearty, tasty and have perfectly fresh ingredients.
What a wonderful selection of sandwiches. We love the pork greens, the steak potatoes was delightful, and the fried chicken stands up next to the best I've had after a lifetime in the South.Pro tip: get an extra sauce with your fries.
Instant favorite! The Grinder is absolutely amazing. Perfect sandwich. Fries are phenomenal. My friend ordered the roast turkey sandwich and they were raving. Very thick too.

Always good, some of the best fries in the city. I recommend every sandwich I've had beans and greens, chicken salad, turkey, and fried chicken.
