Don 't Be Dismayed By The Service or Atmosphere Score! It 's a small restaurant operated by a couple of people.Breakfast bowl is likely too much food, but delicious.The 3-Egg Breakfast is VERY VERY good and definitely worth the money......if you like grand slam breakfasts. It comes with a very tasty made-by-the-owner blueberry jam (she wouldn 't part with the recipe though).Coffee tastes like restaurant coffee should......delicious.It 's a Seat-Yourself/Order-At-The-Counter operation and they are CASH ONLY operation. That 's about all the negative there is to sayIf you 're applying for a job there, the owner only accepts resumes from 2-4 pm (even if you 're eating there....I asked)
A hidden gem of a diner. Chris knows her stuff in the kitchen and served up one of the best breakfasts I have ever enjoyed on the road! Eggs were absolutely perfect, proper grilled potatoes...everything full of flavor and fresh. Bring cash, they no longer accept debit/credit to keep prices down. Very reasonable prices for honest food and generous portions. A nice clean place to eat.
Had breakfast here this morning. Great menu, with lots of selections. Average prices. Order at counter and food is delivered to table. Lots of locals. Small but efficient staff. Server walks around with both coffee and tea pots refilling cups. Great stop and good parking.
What a cool breakfast spot. Only saying breakfast because it is my first time here and breakfast was the meal we sat down for. I am sure lunch and dinner are equally delicious. Trust me when I say you will not leave here hungry! Give it a shot, you won't be disappointed.
Went here, staff is friendly. I tried to order wings as it was on the menu, but they don't even have wings anymore. I sat down opting for a Quesadilla, and to call it mediocre is being too nice. Completely unorganized, terrible food and nice staff, never eating here
What a great place! My family and I loved dinner so much that we came back for breakfast. Like an idiot, I left my purse behind. Three days later and it just arrived in the mail. Not only great food also great people!!!! Thanks so much!!!
This is our first time here, but not our last. The meal was delicious and lots of it. I found the coffee weak and was a little surprised that they take cash only, but there is a bank close by. So the next time I will have cash.
$13.99+ tax for 10 mushrooms, ridiculous!! Not to mention the terrible customer service and almost 30 minute wait after arriving at the time I was told the food would be ready.
In a word, WoW! Hidden Gem of the Maritimes, not just Cape Breton.
