I ordered from Kabob House through a delivery app and was very disappointed when I opened the takeout boxes. There wasn’t even any Basmati rice included. The lamb kebab was bland and dry. The garlic chicken looked like it had been pre-cooked, possibly frozen in the shop, and then microwaved before serving. It also came with regular white rice instead of Basmati, which is usually the standard for these dishes. Considering the price, the quality was really below expectations. I’d recommend saving yourself the hassle and driving a few extra miles to Essy’s Kabob on Madison—they offer excellent food and top-notch customer service!
We finally had the chance to visit this restaurant. We ordered stuffed grape leaves, which we found to be less impressive than others we've tried. We also sampled the tyropita and spanakopita, both of which were quite dry. My husband opted for the moussaka, but he found the eggplant to be overly mushy. I chose the lamb souvlaki, which unfortunately was underseasoned and tough; it took me quite a while to chew just one bite of lamb. On the positive side, the service was good, though we were the only customers in the restaurant at the time. I suspect that takeout orders might be their main source of business.
The food was extremely dry and overpriced. It was my family’s first time ordering from Kabob House. I ordered two beef kabobs and one chicken kabob, and the price caught me off guard. At $18 per entree, I expected much better. The meat was dry and overcooked, with no moisture except for the sauce. The chicken especially lacked seasoning—you actually have to add salt just to eat it. Each entree comes with rice, two skewers, salad, and a piece of bread, which would be fine if the meat tasted good. Overall, save your money—I do not recommend this place. It was a disappointing experience.
We finally went to this place. We had stuffed grape leaves. We had better. We also had tyropita and spanokopita. Both were very dry.. My husband had moussaka and the Aubergine was very mushy.. I had the Lamb souvlaki. Unfortunately it was under seasoned and very hard. It took ten minutes to chew a bite lamb, service was good, We were the only people in the restaurant. I think the only way they stay open is to take orders.

The beef shish kebab pita was really flavorful, but it lacked the typical veggies like lettuce, tomato, and onions. The house sauce was tasty, but the tzatziki sauce didn't quite hit the mark; it had too much garlic and not enough cucumber and dill. Overall, I would rate it a 4 out of 5, and I will definitely return to try the kebab plate!
Our favorite outdoor dining spot this season, when the grapes are in full bloom, is absolutely charming. They offer four different types of grape platters to enjoy, and the best part is that there's no pretentious atmosphere.
They have a really beautiful patio covered with 20+ year old grape vines that is so amazing to eat under! Definitely recommend the chicken kabobs and garlic mayo! Also their pita bread is so fluffy and delicious.
The Tyropita was quite dry and tasted reminiscent of old oil, which was really disappointing. We also didn't enjoy the Tzatziki sauce, as it was lacking in cucumber and flavor.
