The Kafi Glettise is located a couple of blocks from the Wadenswil Bahnhof. They have a large sidewalk seating area in nice weather. The inside is mostly wooden chairs and tables. The hostess was very friendly as I wanted a tea and she suggested something freshly made and made a wonderful fresh ginger and honey tea (4.50CHF) beverage for me which hit the spot on a rainy, cool day. My beverage was served in a tall glass that was wrapped with a special cloth to keep the heat off my hands and it was served with a cookie.Their menu consists of hot/cold beverages, beer, wine, cocktails, wine, spirits and more. Sandwiches, small cold plates, a healthy Sunday brunch and more.The hostess was awesome...
The name “Glettise“ means “press iron”, ”Bügeleisen” or “Glätteisen” in one of the Swiss German local dialects, which made us curious besides it was raining miserably and we needed a warm shelter. It is located at the edge of old village part, between the railway station and the shopping area of Wädenswil. The cafés offers not only good Italian standard espresso but also various kinds of tee, coffees, cookies, cakes, sandwiches and fresh bread. Because it is at the corner of the road it has windows on practically all sides, the fact of which makes this place even friendlier. The waitresses are all charming and efficient. I can imagine one can also enjoy Saturday breakfast here.
I really like this café. They offer awesome cakes and snacks. The whole place and also the service is really nice and I would really recommend you coming here. Especially the carrot cake is amazing - I even took a piece back home because it was so good! They offer a bread which looks like a simple bread but they will warm it for you and it tastes delicious!
Mein absolutes Lieblingscafe hier in Wädenswil. Der Service ist sehr freundlich, zuverlässig und schnell. Der Sonntagsbrunch ist übersichtlich und das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt absolut. Alles wird frisch im Haus mit Liebe zubereitet. Es gibt leckere Sandwiches mit Salat und verschiedene saisonale Angebote. I love it!
