This was our first stop on our little Niagara weekend, and what a delightful experience! It began with our server, Michelle, who is an absolute gem. She amusingly watered the plants with some extra water from other customers before we entered, and it was clear she genuinely cared about her job. Michelle truly stole the spotlight, but the food was equally amazing. The portions were large and prepared with such love. INCREDIBLE!!!!! Such a beautiful place!!! The vibe in there is just Zen! Small, quaint and the perfect atmosphere for a romantic dinner or a pleasant get together!! We did the romantic dinner for two and both my wife and I just love this restaurant!! The decor is subtle but has a beautiful traditional Germanic look and feel to it. Jackie (Jacqui, Jacky? the host and table attendant was just wonderful!! Took care of the whole floor and was just a joy to have there, she's a beautiful addition to this place! The food!!!!! OFF. After spending some time at Port Dalhousie beach, we decided to give this place a try—and we were pleasantly surprised by the stunning interior! Although it's a small restaurant, the design is beautiful, featuring lovely paintings, wallpaper, well-furnished tables, and stylish beer glasses. The atmosphere is fantastic! The staff was incredibly accommodating, especially since we had a stroller with us. The food and drinks were outstanding! We enjoyed a mushroom sandwich and schnitzel, both of which were delicious. The Niagara wheat beer was refreshing and light, making it the perfect drink. I highly recommend this place and will definitely return!
I have to say it... this might just be the best burger in Niagara. It really surprises you, especially considering all the "burger joints" promoted in the area, but the best one is tucked away in this gem in Port Dalhousie. THIS IS A MUST-TRY; I encourage you to make your own judgment. I highly recommend the pretzel appetizer, the schnitzel prepared any way you like, and of course, don't miss out on the decor. Plus, it's great for takeout—the delivery quality is just as good as dining in at your own kitchen table. I highly recommend it!!!
We ordered takeout/curbside pick up through their online website. Super easy to do. The order was brought out promptly to our car at the time we ordered it for pick up and the food was still very hot and fresh when we got home. We got the Bavarian pretzel with cheese sauce, Hungarian goulash and schnitzel sandwich. Every single meal order was absolutely amazing. Very authentic and delicious German food. I hope soon to dine in as the outside looks very nice as well. But for getting takeout it was beyond great. I highly recommend it.
Minutes away from Niagara falls, this lovely and cozy restaurant, has a fantastic view of the Marina. Jackie our server was fantastic, she prepares the best cocktails!! We enjoyed their fresh and tasty Haus Salad (order it with crumbled blue cheese! followed by a couple of amazing, perfectly breaded flavourful Schnitzels. But, the king of the night was their home made apple Strudel. We would drive back from Toronto, just to eat here again!
My girlfriend and I enjoyed a fantastic dinner. We kicked things off with a pretzel and potato leek soup, followed by the schnitzel sandwich and Swedish meatballs. For dessert, we indulged in apple strudel. Everything was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was fantastic. We will definitely return, and I can only imagine how lovely the port area must be in warmer weather.
This is a wonderful restaurant with great ambience and delicious food on the menu. Set in idyllic Port Dalhousie, this restaurant offers a wide variety of choices for any dietary need. The portions are just right and the staff are very polite and ensure that you have a great experience. The Sacher Torte is a must try.
Delicious European cuisine! This hidden gem in St. Catherine's offers great food in a unique atmosphere. The portion sizes are generous, and the prices are reasonable. We took Jackie’s recommendations for food and local wineries, and she did not let us down! We hope to experience it all again soon.
