Where do I even begin? It's almost comical to think that if Colonel Sanders were here, he would be appalled by this location. The floor was so uneven that it felt like we were walking on a funhouse floor. There was litter everywhere, and I even had to clean a table just so we could find a place to sit, despite there only being two other occupied tables. And the chicken? There was a complete lack of seasoning or salt. I think we can all agree on what we want: chicken breast and drumsticks, right? But this place offered an odd assortment of cuts. It's as if they tossed a chicken into a blender and served whatever came out. They should have a contest for the most unappetizing-looking pieces. So...
On December 31 at 6:00 PM, I found myself in Riviere du Loup, and out of desperation, I decided to stop at KFC since it was one of the few restaurants still open. I thought KFC would be a reliable choice—but I was mistaken. The staff seemed eager to close early, and they were both inattentive and rude. To make matters worse, the chicken we received was remarkably unseasoned; in all my years of dining at KFC, I had never encountered chicken lacking in salt. Additionally, they forgot to include the dessert from the festive special and provided the wrong salad. Overall, it was a truly disappointing experience.
In desperation pulled into KFC on December 31 at 6:00PM as it was one of the few places open in Riviere du loup. I figure KFC is a safe bet....wrong. The staff was trying to close early and were unattentive and rude. The chicken they...gave us was... ready for this ... not seasoned properly... the first time in my history of eating at KFC where there was a lack of SALT. They forgot to give us the dessert from the festive special and they gave the wrong salad. WOW, disappointing.
During our road trip from Ottawa to Nova Scotia, we chose to spend the night in Riviere du Loup and were eager to indulge in KFC after our 7-hour drive. However, upon arrival, we found the restaurant overcrowded and completely unresponsive. We waited for 10 minutes without receiving any service. The place was packed, with people spilling out the door, and unfortunately, we left without getting our KFC fix. It was not just poor service; it was no service at all!

The cashier offered excellent service, but the staff in the kitchen who were taking orders were quite rude. They messed up my order and tried to blame it on the cashier, saying she had entered it wrong. However, after reviewing my bill, it was clear that everything was accurate and the error did not originate with her. It was rather unprofessional for them to make a fuss in front of everyone instead of simply owning up to their mistake.
There were no fountain drinks available, no salads on the menu, and the chicken was quite average. The restrooms were extremely dirty, and the trash cans were overflowing. The overall atmosphere felt neglected, as if the place was on the verge of closing down, reminiscent of a government health inspection.
No liqueur fountain, no salad, pretty ordinary chicken, very dirty restrooms, overflowing trash bins... It feels like it might close down soon... or get inspected by the health department.

I had dinner here and tried one of their $5 meals. The food was prepared incredibly quickly by a friendly staff member who spoke excellent English.
