Our meal was disappointing, which is not a typical experience for us at King Chuan. We placed our order, and the soup came pretty quickly. Then a while later the first dish came out, and then the rice. Then--nothing. No one asked how we were doing, no one brought more water or tea, no one came by to let us know that the kitchen was backed up or that there was a delay--just nothing. After more than half an hour we were finally able to get a waiter's attention, and asked if the rest of our food was still coming. He said he would check, and then about 10 minutes later the rest of our food did come out. By then the rice was cold and we had eaten most of the first dish since we were hungry. We go...
Much closer to the authentic Chinese food cooking that you can still see and sense the chef’s intent to ensure that each dish is cooked with a unique presentation and character. The composition and the quality of the ingredients used and how they arecooked also resemble the healthier home style cooking. This is why I would still drive from the Cupertino area that have plentyof Chinese food choices near by to visit King China in San Carlos have a treat here regularly. After I introduced King Chuan tomy Indian colleagues, even they loved the dishes and could tell the difference from the Chinese food they got from otherrestaurants in the South Bay area.
This is a fabulous place to eat!! We were in town to pick up our new car and our hotel suggested going to San Carlos for dinner. We picked this restaurant because I love egg foo yung. This was the BEST I have ever had. I'm so sorry I don't livenear by!! You can't go wrong eating here. The staff is great, the food is exceptional.
Pleasantly surprised as my lunch of authentic Kung pao Chicken was delicious! Authentic means no fillers of bell peppers or water chestnuts. Chicken chillies garlic peanuts! Delicious! Confused on how to pay check as they drop it off on the table and THEN you have to walk it up to the cashier. I will be back soon!

Me and my family were visiting in town from Orlando,FL and wanted some good food and luckily we found it here. We ordered so much and all of it was FANTASTIC. The service and hospitality was amazing and everything tasted authentic. I highly recommendthis place if you are in town, you won’t regret it!!
The owner Mary makes everyone feel welcome . The staff is very friendly and very nice to small children. I really enjoy having lunch here . Everything I have ordered here has been excellent. This is about the only restaurant in San Carlos that is open onChristmas!
The Sesame Crispy Chicken was phenomenal!! Friendly service with only a short wait.
Good food. The Chinese Chicken salad need to have a sesame ginger dressing.
