Fun spot with great people and great German food. We recently took a crew there after the funeral of a childhood friend brought us together again (not the repast. Only a group of us who went there later), and I think we were a surprise for them that we took the place before noon! They were fun and engaged and warm and we left them to choose our food and they did not disappoint! Not only did they make great food for us, but they came to our conversations here and there as they were one of the family. Was a great time and we were all there full and happy. Would definitely recommend it!
The restaurant itself isn't much to look at, but sometimes those are the best spots! There’s street parking available, though I can't say how easy it is to find a spot during peak hours. The menu is extensive, and I particularly enjoyed the potato pancakes. The waitress was incredibly attentive and even offered to take a picture of my family while I was having fun with my camera. They take a short summer break around July 4th, which is understandable. Just be sure to check if they're open before you go!
During my first visit, I sat in the stands and enjoyed some delicious German food along with what I consider to be some excellent beers (specifically Paulaner). On my second visit, I opted for a seat at the bar, where I shared a pizza with a friend and savored another fantastic beer (Sam). Both times, I had a wonderful experience thanks to the friendly staff and talented chefs. I highly recommend this place if you haven't been there yet.
The first time I went here, I sat in the booths, had some nice German food, and a few really good beers (in my opinion Paulaner). The second time I came, I sat at the bar, split a pizza with my friend, and also had a really nice beer (same). Bothtimes, I had a great experience due to the nice staff and excellent cooks. It's just what I expected. I've only visited in the afternoon and have always sat at the bar. They offer a diverse menu, but I like to keep things simple. I appreciate Kirker's for its German dishes, the great beer, and the friendly staff. The pizza is what truly elevates Kirker's to local legend status. It's delicious, and I might even like it more than Kinchleys.
It's exactly as it should be. I've only been there during the afternoon and have only sat at the bar. They have a busy menu, but I stick to the basics. I enjoy Kirker's for the German menu, the beer, and the kind folks that work there. The pizza is what elevates Kirker's to local legend status. It's delicious, and I think I prefer it to Kinchleys.
The traditional German food is outstanding! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff is incredibly friendly. While the decor is a bit old-fashioned, it adds to the charm of the place. I really enjoy dining here!
