Imagine an oversized cheese puff, hollowed out and filled with cheese, spinach, and eggs, served alongside a dirty chai. Upon entering, I received a warm welcome and was excited to learn that I could customize my meal. The soothing bossa nova music blended with amapiano in the background created a delightful atmosphere. I definitely wasn't expecting such a vibe, but it turned out to be a wonderful morning pick-me-up! I highly recommend checking this place out!
Quick service, friendly staff, awesome Brazilian pastries. ?? friend recommended the Romeo and juliet cheese bread and it was 5/5. Sliced fresh cheesy bun, with jam and cheese in the middle and toasted. The perfect balance of sweet and gooey cheese especially on a cold day. The shop is rather small and tables were a bit messy and windows were covered in graffiti unfortunately ? don't miss out on the awesome baked goodies though!
I used to visit this restaurant often, but today I was served a frozen açaí bowl, and it was terrible. I won't be coming back. The menu didn't mention that the açaí was frozen, which I believe is a health violation. I plan to contact the health department to file a complaint. I also spent $22 on two frozen açaí bowls that came with frozen fruit. Very disappointing.
We ordered through Uber Eats. We had been disappointed with the coffee we had had since being on our trip… Kitanda did NOT disappoint. Delicious food and friendly staff at reasonable prices. You can enjoy a hearty kitanda sandwich for just $5.99. While parking can be a challenge due to its location in Capitol Hill, it is conveniently situated right across from the light rail and several bus stops.

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. I emphasized to the baristas to make our coffee sweet, meaning put extra pumps to give the coffee flavor. The coffee still tasted underwhelming, it had no flavor. I do not recommend this place especially at the

Great food and nice people at affordable prices. You can get a filling kitanda sandwich for $5.99. Parking is difficult because it's cap hill but it's right across from the light rail and several bus stops.
