Yesterday I heard that Anna is back!!!So I went there for lunch with my sister today!!We had DenJang Jjigae (soybean paste soup)with grilled mackerel and Dolsot bibimbab! The taste went back to normal like before when Anna was there!She had six months off and now she is ready to work! I am so excited to have authentic Korean food in Barrie!So welcome back Anna!!!
So after careful consideration, I decided to drop in. I'm really glad I did. Me and my best bud were seated right away. Anna (owner) greeted us with open arms. I'll cut right to it. The miso is amazing. The sushi was absolutely awesome. I'm really glad I found this place. So now I am here at our table with my wife writing this review. 10/10. Thank you Anna.
My family is Korean, and I can vouch that the Korean food here is very authentic! I would recommend 100%.Korean food is normally a bit more expensive, but worth the price! But worth the price! I call the owner "my grandma~" because she really treats you with the most hospitality and is one of the sweetest ladies I know!
Rice was warm...rolls fell apart...butter fish had fishy taste - not fresh taste - poor quality...disappointing based on the reviews that intrigued us to try it. The bulgoki was decent. I usually order take out from this place but I have sat in a couple times. Service wasn't fantastic, but the girls seemed young and inexperienced. Food is always fast, the sauces are so good and everything is cooked perfectly. A few times my beef has been a little fatty, but not too big of a deal.
The original owner has returned, and the quality of the food and service is top-notch. I lived in Korea for 10 years and became part of a Korean family, and I can say that the food at KoHyang House is as authentic (and tasty!) as the "real thing".
I just stopped by for takeout at this place and found out that Anna Kim and her Chefs are back. Mrs. Kim had taken some time off and assured me that everyone is back and ready then ever. This is awesome!!
My daughter says this us her favourite Asian restaurant in Barrie. We enjoyed the Bento box and the Korean beef dish with a sushi starter. Side dishes of Kimchi and sprouts were nice additions. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Now a sushi place and not great. Higher prices and korean stuff is now awful. Sorry to see it go even kimchi is messed up. Former owners cousin bought it and can't recommend it at all.
