I highly recommend downloading the Dinfo app and making a reservation or joining the waitlist before leaving the house. Keep in mind that once you make it to the top of the list they call your number three times and then move on to the next party. I'm not sure how strict they are in enforcing that. The best part is that you can see how many people are ahead of you and how long they have waited. They just remodeled and it looks and feels very clean. Tables were well spaced apart and all the workers were wearing face masks correctly and gloves. Ordered: Hainan chicken with slow cooked chicken ginseng broth (you can def taste the ginseng) Baked pork chop rice Wonton with rice noodles HK style milk tea (hot) Flavors were just right. I liked that the pork chop were not fried and it had just the right amount of sauce. I really liked the broth that came with the Hainan chicken. Koi Palace Express Saturday lunch time. Got a number at koi palace and the wait time is 1 hour... came downstairs and see this koi palace express. No wait. Awesome. The menu is much smaller. And there are many things they don't serve here. Service could be better... asked for milk tea for no ice, no response and they came with ice anyways...... Food is good. Got steamed chicken feet, Shanghai style juicy dumpling, pork dumpling in chili sauce, egg yolk lava bun. Everything was good , especially the egg yolk lava bun. It's sooooooo juicy and fresh, scrumptious!

He has steamed chicken feet, Shanghai style juicy emptying, pork emptying in chili sauce, egg yolk lava beans. Everything was good, especially the egg yolk Lavabunk. love their antique setting, especially the chairs and tables, sauces bottles are hidden in the middle of the table, that's kind of cool and convenient. If you dislike the long line at the Koi Palace, this is a better choice. the hainanese chicken rice set is pretty awesome, the rice is really fragrant and the herbal soup is inside a cute teapot, the chilies and ginger sauce can totally bring up the taste of the chicken rice. I don't really like the chicken meat, it's cold and kind of hard.
Food is ok but flavors are inconsistent. Some of my dishes has no flavor but others have too much flavors. The place looks and feels dirty, especially the tables. Customer service is cold and unfriendly. Will try again but hope they will work to improve their consistency and customer service skills.
The Palace Express is for us in the area of Dublin/Pleasanton for the most delicious roasted duck, including dishes that are all spectacular. This is one of our go-to-spots for a satisfactory meal every time. The service is great, the food is delicious. Always a smile on my face:
Just went there after they reopened in 2021. They staff was super friendly as we have two small kids. Menu changed so now got bit less choices. But food is still great esp the hainan chicken rice and 乾炒牛河！

Authentic Hong Kong style meals. Choice of food is limited at this time. Hopefully, it will get back to normal menu slowly. Service has greatly improved.
