I had the most frustrating experience at this bagel store! Not only was the line unbelievably long, but the food prep was incredibly slow. It felt like I was waiting forever just to order a simple bagel with cream cheese.To make matters worse, the staff was incredibly rude and unprofessional. When I finally got to the front of the line, the person taking my order barely acknowledged me and seemed annoyed that I was even there.But the real kicker was when I saw other customers who had ordered after me receive their food before I did. I had to go up to the cashier and ask about my order, and even then, it took an additional 10 minutes for them to finally hand it over.I definitely won't be retu...
I used to come here on a weekly basis as a kid and the bialy's were great. We would buy a baker's dozen and freeze them and return for more when we ran out. Some time in the aughts I stopped in and the bialys and experience were so bad I never returned.... until recently. I love bialys and they are becoming very hard to find, much less a good one. Kossar's bialy of today in no way matches the bialy's they made during my childhood, but they do at least resemble a proper bialy. I bought two with cream cheese and was charged $10 and change. I would rather go the rest of my life not having a (now mediocre) Kossar's bialy then pay $5+ for a bialy with cream cheese. Service was poor.
I finally bought a bagel from Kossar’s bagel Bialys. I must admit my sandwich was really delicious! I purchased a plain bagel with eggs cheese. The bagel was fresh and flavorful and a bit crispy which is what I love in a bagel. My colleagues always buy their coffee and bagels from here too. The establishment is very clean and has indoor and outdoor seating if you have time to sit, eat and drink your beverage. The price is moderate but welllll worth it!!!! I’ll be back soon!!
Damian makes the best sandwiches and takes pride in making sure customers are pleased with which ever sandwich they choose.I usually order the Houston Street. Today, he persuaded me to try the Pike Street and I LOVED IT! He always seems delighted to make everyone’s sandwich and makes it with a sense of urgency so I can actually sit down and enjoy my lunch break. I appreciate you, Damian!

The staffs are always very friendly. This is not the first time we visit this store. The bagels and bialeys are delicious and constantly. The lady cashier is always there with a great smile. She always make us feel very welcome. We will most certainly visit again and definitely have already recommended to others
Found this place on our last trip to NYC. We had them delivered daily, used Grubhub. They are amazing and to die for. Best bagels I've ever tasted. Sandwiches are also amazing. Kossar's has never let us down, and you are always full. I've been here a few times now. Always great bagels and bagel sandwiches.
Delicious homemade bagels! Highly recommend to get the everything bagels here, they make them right in the back of the restaurant that you can even overlook and view the process.The cappuccino here is delicious they have a great machine that makes the froth delicious and lightGreat spot for breakfast!
Ordered babka french toast which is supposed to come with maple syrup. Received honey instead because they were out of syrup. Disappointing. You order on the right and receive a ticket. Then you pay at the counter on the left. They will call your name when your order is ready.

Definitely my new favorite bagel in a sea of decent bagels in the Upper East Side. It’s chew is perfect and the everything seasoning is just right! I have had delivery, which is fast and reliable.
Now that’s a toasted bagel. I had a tasty bacon, egg and Cheese. Recommended.
