My personal original favorite Hong kong Style cafe/diner. There have been many new faces in this neighborhood but Kowloon Tong has been a favorite for egg puffs, snow frog, chicken wings and Chinese desserts for over 20 years with a steady stream of college kids and neighborhood families looking for a light meal or snack. I recommend the hot sago or steamed egg/milk custard on a cold rainy day. Egg puff sundae if it's hot out the combo special if your extra hungry. If you come anywhere near closing, expect to wait as this is their rush hour and they're Family owned and operated so please tip kindly!
I would have given 5 stars but the new server charged us for an extra drink we didn’t order. I had an ice cream, red bean and grass jelly dessert, others had mango smoothie, cookies and cream milkshake (one made of soy and another was regular milk), a chocolate milkshake and ovaltine with grass jelly. Everyone enjoyed their drinks but the extra threw us for a loop. We tried to tell her we didn’t order it but I think that threw her off and confused her so we ended up with it just to stop the confusion! Added more photos!
We unexpectedly discovered this restaurant and we're glad we did. The menu was a bit confusing, but the owner kindly helped us understand. The mango sago was refreshing and not too sweet, which I enjoyed. I bet it would be fantastic served warm as well! We're excited to try the waffle ice cream next time, it seems like a perfect spot for a romantic date night.
The Curry Calamari was a standout with its irresistible curry sauce that I couldn't help but dip my rice crepes into. The Beef Brisket with Rice Crepes, although enjoyable, left me wishing for a heartier beef portion. The Mixed Fruit in Ice Cream Waffle was a simple yet satisfying dessert, offering a medley of flavors in each bite.

This place has never let me down when craving dessert in the area! This place is open late and has affordable desserts. My favorites are always the sago tapioca desserts with mango. They’re perfectly refreshing, fruity, while not being too sweet. I love this mom and pop shop. Do yourself a favor and check this place out!
i only eat the desserts, and they are always amazing especially the sago. not only is it really good but the owner is so kind and just seems to be good hearted. he stopped me outside to tell me i forgot a drink i no longer wanted, it was so cute! overall 10/10
Still open! Love this spot! One of the few Asian snacks/dessert spots still open late night! We used to go here after church fellowship all the time because when you're hanging, it's nice to have food!
This is a great little restaurant. I haven't tried the desserts yet, but I'm eager to give them a chance.
