I don’t usually find myself in this area, and I had never been to downtown Plainfield before, but I was in the vicinity and decided to stop by Krema for a Lumberjack Latte with oat milk and a breakfast sandwich. The sandwich was called “The Beyond,” featuring a Beyond Sausage patty, avocado spread, cheddar cheese, sriracha aioli, and egg on house-made ciabatta. I ordered online for pickup and even added a bag of whole bean coffee to my order—why not? I was really impressed! Main Street is charming, and the café is easy to locate right on the main strip. Parking was convenient, and the walk to the café was short and pleasant. The sandwich was delicious, and the coffee was... dare I say it......
We haven't visited downtown Plainfield in years, so we were pleasantly surprised to discover a charming little coffee shop called Krema Coffee. The customer service was fantastic, even with the long wait that is expected in this small town due to the popularity of the place. After all, great coffee attracts a crowd! They just launched their holiday drinks today, and I tried the Snowball, which has an incredible coconut flavor. The Bourbon Gingerbread reminded me of the gingerbread cookies I used to make with my grandma when I was a child. First of all, there are always new drinks and flavors for lattes and cold brews. Luckily, I was able to order the pistachio blood orange cold brew from last month, which is both unique and delicious. Today, I tried the maple bacon gouda breakfast sandwich, and I was absolutely blown away. The bread is incredibly flaky, and the maple aioli is fantastic. I enjoyed that sandwich so much that I went back to get another one to take home for my husband. The atmosphere is cute, although it was a bit warm inside during the heatwave, but the food and drinks more than made up for it.
I placed my order 15 minutes before we planned to leave, but it took about 25 minutes for the food to be ready, and I was shocked by how poorly it looked. It has never been served like this before. Unfortunately, the taste didn't match the usual amazing quality either. It’s been a while since my last visit, and I really expected better. The place felt very disorganized inside. Great coffee shop. Located in downtown Plainfield, on the strip. They are only a storefront, no drive-thru and very limited parking. I suggest to park in one of the free lots and walk over. Their specialty drinks are my go to. Good coffee and good service. On the smaller side inside but still plenty of seating. At peak hours it’s hard to find a seat, but absolutely still worth a stop in.
Stopped into Krema for a quick lunch, service was excellent, friendly staff, and very quick. The atmosphere was nice, kind of a retro feel and very inviting. I ordered the “Krema Klub”, very fresh ingredients, and very tasty. The coffee (americano) was nice, fresh roasted and not too strong. Would recommend stopping in if in the area, quick lunch, date night, or even just for a coffee.
KREMAAAAA! The owner, Kacey, is such a delightful person, and the baristas are always a joy to chat with. One of the staff members, Chloe, is responsible for the chalkboard writing with the menu, and I absolutely adore how beautifully she writes the specials. I'm so thrilled that my hometown now has such a charming coffee shop!
This charming café in downtown Plainfield offers *fantastic* lattes! The ambiance is warm and inviting, even during peak hours. The decor is delightful and playful (I especially adore the painting of Betty White!). My lavender latte is absolutely delicious! I highly recommend it if you're in the area. We LOVE this place, however today was the first time we ever went inside. The staff not in the slightest bit friendly, even annoyed looking. Slowest service ever. All of our bagels were hard and the bacon Gouda sandwich that’s $8 was hardly worth $8, just look at this pathetic looking picture.
