I was pleasantly surprised to see that they were back to serving on banana leaves when I walked in to have their non veg lunch buffet with some family and friends. We came towards the end of the buffet, so the crowd was smaller, but everything on the non veg buffet tasted great and authentic like we would have at home (my family is Tamil). The service could have been a little faster but I left more than satisfied with the quality and quantity of the food the servers were attentive when they came by, explained what the dishes were to our non indian guests, and checked for what else we would like to be brought to the table! My friends had hyped a lot about this place having one of the best Indian foods around Boston. So we travelled 1.5 hrs to enjoy the food. But to my surprise, the food was overpriced and the quantity was less as well. Not to mention the taste is subpar. Even my friends who brought me here were appalled. We ordered a chicken biryani and it didn?t even look like one. It?s like pulao with chicken pieces in it. Do not visit this restaurant ever, I repeat do not! We visited for the buffet last weekend and found a BIG PIECE OF NEWSPAPER in the dal tadka! Such ridiculous levels of hygiene and safety!The manager had no idea where it came from ! We insisted him to change the dal , which inspite of telling was kept for almost 15-20 mins on the counter! No idea how many kids would have eaten from it! Please beware of this restaurant! This is a blunder from hygiene point of view! Especially with so many kids dining on a weekend, assuming small kids first choice would be dal rice! Can you believe they were charging this quality buffet for 22$! Insaneeeeee! I wish I could rate less than 1 star to this restau...

Kumar’s impresses not only with their delectable Indian cuisine but also with their hospitable atmosphere. It’s a place where you can savor flavorful dishes while being treated like a valued guest..So, if you’re seeking a restaurant that combines great food with warm hospitality, Kumar’s is definitely worth a visit.

I love this place and what they offer.Kumars boston is one of the few places who are serving Unlimted Buffet even after the pandemic. We went for weekend special buffet.Nice ambience ,the place is very clean and maintained well. Food was amazing and service is awesome.They take care of the customers very well. Note : Pls do make reservations as this place gets really busy on weekends
Buffet was a joke they prepare only limited amounts and do not refill. You pay 20$ per person for leftovers basically. Total waste of money and the service staff cares less about the customers and more about ensuring that they are getting their meals on time. They had only 2 servers taking away plates because the remaining staff was having their lunch in the kitchen.
Very kind and patient wait staff, but the over $50 for a meal that barely feeds 2 is a bit much especially since the curry had hardly any meat in it. We asked for spicy and it was a bit underwhelming. The restaurant has a charm to it, and it was generally a pleasant experience, but for the very high price point I expect a higher standard of food than what I got.
