had the $100 lunch menu. eating was great! although they have booked for a certain time and the email to prove it, they insisted that the posting appeared at the end of 1/2 h later and they had no table for us and they said that the problem is not at the end, but at the end of the fork! the male workers were definitively more prone than the females. eating was well balanced, but we like our washabi and after 2 tiny puppies (to be shared with 3 of us), they informed us that they needed to calculate $2 when we ask for more. then I asked about Japanese chili powder instead and again the answer was no, they had no. there would be no other Japanese restaurant in sydney that would tell them that t...
Kuro appears to be a restaurant for the new era of diners in Sydney. The food looked very good but lacked the variety and intensity of flavour we are used to in Japanese cuisine. We chose the larger degustation and found our last two courses delivered together, along with a reminder we only had 10 min to finish and be gone. The ‘mixer’, bar tender and cocktail maker, was brilliant, a true Japanese icon, beautiful to watch and a humble and gentle soul. decided to eat curo bar on kent st in sydney cbd wow! what a wolf in sheepwear! the chef, who obviously cut his teeth in a French kitchen, has mixed this influence with the precision and detail of the Japanese kitchen. a real display of a well balanced think-out set, each cure intelligent compliment of the last of the wall and the skill in the kitchen is reflected on the plate. great value and thanks to all fantastic employees and compliments to the chef! we will be back for more!
the first time here and a wonderful surprise. cozy place with a beautiful atmosphere. not too crowded, so could still hear each other talking what was appreciated at our first date! the menu layout is interesting with the preset options. but it was presented mentally and the many community dishes were excellent. a beautiful flow from starters to dessert. and the perfect portion size to let them happy .. but want to come back! absolutely loved eating and ambiente! the personal was super friendly, the only thing was that eating was a last and they were not very attentive to refilling our water.
Great atmosphere and service. The fried chicken was great but found the steak a tad overcooked. Overall pleasant experience however not sure if I would return
