We have eaten here on a few occasions: the last time we ordered the chateaubriand medium rare, it came out medium. When we spoke to the waitress she said they had a French chef and they always over cook the steaks. You have to ask if the chef is French or English when you come in as this will depend on how your meat is cooked which seems really strange as there is nothing on the menu that says you have to ask this. We let it go and did not complain. We came again today for lunch. We ordered the prawn risotto which I ordered the last time and it was amazing. Today is was dry but again we let it go rather than complain and spoil the meal. My partner ordered the kidneys (pleural) however there...
I came across this restaurant while looking for potential venues for a date night. Thank you Google! Online booking system was easy to use, we received a confirmation email the next day. Lovely peaceful location (although easy to miss the car park which is behind the building if you're unfamiliar with the area). Staff were instantly friendly and attentive. They do an early bird menu on a Friday but we arrived at 6pm because we wanted to try the main menu. There is a bar area but we didn't explore it as our table was ready. excellent eating in French style. black pudding star on a ferbse purée was a joy. also has a very varied vegetarian menu. worth a visit. very recommended the family had here christmas lunch 2015, it was excellent. the traditional Christmas dinner was obviously available as well as best rated since we ate in paris a super filled filet while the vegetarian was delighted with their choice. this is a very good restaurant and is worthy of his call. michelin should see how it soon reaches the starstatus.
Absolutely wonderful!!! Good to have a restaurant on your doorstep. This place was recommended by a friend and six of us went to celebrate my birthday. Just could not fault a thing. la boheme is my favorite restaurant. eating here is great! it's worth every penny. please do not miss their famous assiette desserts, they are for dying! service was always 100% and eat 100% and believe me, I was a few times! I should warn them, but it is that popular, it can be worth booking a table
Fabulous. We visit La Boheme regularly and we are never disappointed. Went last Thursday night, ten of us and the food was divine, especially the assiette of puddings. Would like to know when the next cookery demo is, we went in January 09 and enjoyed it immensely.
Second time we have brought friends here and it never fails to impress. Service and food excellent and restaurant has a lovely feel.
