At first glance, La Boucherie seems like a joke. Their logo, a giant cow 's head licking its chops, is the comedy usually reserved for movie spoofs. We really had no idea what to expect but a place called The Butcher couldn 't be all bad, right? We had a number of dishes that cut a wide swath across the menu and most everything was better than expected. Both our appetizers (foie gras and some seafood thing) and desserts were awesome. The main courses were good, but I bet there are at least a few on the menu that are just as good as the other courses were.
