Taco salad with carnitas and no beans or tortilla strips (keto) was very good. I really appreciate the spring lettuce mix and the dressing was good too. It could use more lettuce, especially when we are saying, hold the beans, hold the tortillas. The chile relleno was quite nice. In the past, I have had the flan which I thought was excellent. I cant have flan now because keto. I would have to say that even avoiding sugar, rice, beans and tortillas, you can get a good meal from this restaurant. Something for people to think about. Also, restaurants, in general, need to provide more and better keto alternatives as in not making us pay for things we dont want or cant eat.
Great food and friendly staff. Portion size tends to be large and the prices are fair for what you get. Owner is accommodating: we were able to bring our e-bikes onto the patio and park them next our table. They also allow dogs on the patio and will bring water for them if asked. I get the carnitas chimichanga and it is one of the best I've ever had. They do have a fully staffed bar at the front of the restaurant which is a little odd and dark but the rest of the dining area is open and sunny.
What a great restaurant! We really enjoyed the carne asada and the chicken fajitas. So glad they have gluten and dairy-free options. The drinks were great as well! Best Mexican Restaurant in Folsom! At least so far. The corn was served piping hot and full of flavor. The sopes were delicious and the crispy tacos were Tasty ! We had them with Al pastor (very juicy! and loved it all. We will definitely be back. As far as service, it seems like a mom and pop shop, very warm and welcoming. Waitress was kind and attentive. Their food is really delicious and fresh. They seem to be a little tight with their chips and the last several times we have been in there, the music is just too loud to have a conversation. The man seems to be the server, bartender and busser and isn't all that friendly. Five stars for food, 3.5-4 stars for everything else.
A rather small restaurant but it sure does puts out some tasty Mexican food. I had pork belly tacos and my husband had crunchy tacos. Both were flavorful and not over stuffed with condiments which allowed the protein to be the star! This was our first visit, but we will be back to try other entrees.
The Burrito Bowl is small and really not worth the price. The Birria Taco was really good. And the kids carne asada street tacos were good, but I would never order the Mexican rice again. Very flavorless. The downside to this restaurant is that its overpriced.
