Firstly, the food was incredible. I think It's hard to have dinner at a place where you would rate every single course of the night 5 stars, but the pizza and lasagne were excellent, and the dessert, tiramasu and gelati were perfect . Servers were friendly and quick, meal arrived to us within 10-15 minutes of ordering (on a Wednesday night), and the atmosphere was cool and quiet, we had the fortune of a nice well lit window seat. I'll be coming back for my Mum's birthday as a nice surprise for her.
We had an early dinner before a 7 pm school concert at the Melbourne Recital Centre. The service was friendly, courteous and most importantly prompt. The venue was warm and cosy for a cold evening and there were excellent views of Melbourne and the Yarra River. Our pasta was well cooked and tasty. I had the Risotto La Camera and our daughter the Rigatoni Pesto Rossa.It was a brief visit, however I am sure that we will be back to try this restaurant again.
This is the second time I've been here for lunch & will continue to return. They offer a lunch special that is excellent value, and the pizzas are generously sized & very tasty. The staff are well trained, polite & efficient. The friend I met today has a young baby & the waitress was keen to ensure my friend had everything she needed for the baby. This is a great find on Southgate!
What a fantastic restaurant! Our family of 6 had a lovely meal over looking the river; food was fabulous (and dessert was stunning), and the atmosphere was great! Luv this place, staff and food was amazing! We ordered the chicken and mushroom risotto, my wife ordered the gnocchi and arancini balls.
