Found this place through trip advisor when looking for something a little different, we booked through the site which was really handy although I don't think the owner had checked his account and we came as a bit of a surprise. We were squeezed in ( it is very Parisian and snug) The food was excellent, wonderfully tasty and varied, we had the mixed starter which almost completely filled us. Then came the ribs next and also very tasty. The wine went down extremely well and we had a free drink at the bar to finish off,The place was really full to overflowing by locals which is a testament to the quality and price of the food.

Enjoy dinner at La Canne a Sucre and spend an evening in the French Antilles. Run by the Viny family, the Caribbean connection is clear in the wide choice of rums and rum drinks and the savory dishes on the menu. Order the croisiere, a large boat of delicacies for two, as an entree. For a plat, the spare ribs are excellent and the shrimp in coconut milk sauce is delicious. Desserts feature coconut flan, coconut sorbet, and chocolate fantasies. On some Friday nights, Eddy Viny delights diners with songs with a Caribbean beat.

We enjoyed our evening out in this small, neighborhood corner café, the staff were friendly and helpful,(the owner chef speaks English) and the meals were good sized serves and tasty. If you are expecting eye watering spicy hot dishes like east Indian/Pakistani as I was, the flavor's here are quite mellow in comparison.PJ Barker author of the novel Changing Pillion.

The home made foie gras was excellent ,as were the large fresh prawns. The main course steak was, for me expensive and very poor quality. I should have sent it back but didn't. My wife's sole was good.
