The food here is offending me to the highest degree. Being from Indonesia, the other side of the world, missing home, I was shocked by the food and especially the drink here. Theyre 99% so similar to food in Indonesia. especially the Wheat and Maltedshakes, is literally my childhood breakfast drink we call Energen. I have never cried over food and they did it. If you havenever experienced something like that before, i hope one day you will too. Its unbelievable.
La Careta is an iconic restaurant in Miami. True authentic Cuban food that is inexpensive yet loaded with Latin flavors. A true traditional Cuban breakfast, lunch or dinner without it being fancy (No reservations needed). It's one of the restaurants thatlocals go to to get their cafesito (Expresso), black beans and rice or croqueta fix! Must try their Cuban sandwiches.
Greeter/Hostess was friendly. Server didn't follow up on our table as much as he should have. Young man from Venezuela, the busboy, was more attentive than our server, he constantly refilled our drinks, brought us extra napkins, etc. Offered to takeour group's picture, very polite and friendly. Food was good, but the moros was a little on cold side.

The hostess was very friendly, and we were seated quickly. The waitstaff was attentive and polite. The food was excellent and reasonably priced, offering a great quantity for the quality. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we will be back every time we're in Miami. The mango mojitos are a must-try; my wife absolutely loved them!
This was my first visit to this restaurant, and it certainly won't be my last. The staff was friendly, and although there was a mix-up with the food—thanks to the busboy bringing me the wrong order—my server promptly resolved the issue. If you don't speak Spanish, don't worry; they are proficient in English.
I have been visiting this restaurant for years, and in my opinion, they offer some of the best Cuban cuisine in town. Their food is consistently delicious, and the warm service adds to the overall experience. You won't be disappointed!
Great food, incredible afordable prices concidering the inflation. Ricardo provided outstanding customer service, the best i ever had in Miami. The food has the flavor of the typical food in Cuba. Very recommended!
