An unexpected afternoon off from work todayDecided to take a drive out to Belmont shore to dip our feat in the cool ocean water. On the way home, we decided to stop and finally try @lachancla_mexicangrill in LB. The food is 5 stars and then some for sure and the prices are reasonable. Ordered their wet burrito de asada (my Husband's plate) and their Tio's Nachos de carnitas.(my plate) The carnitas are off the charts good. Super tender and perfectly seasoned. My Husband says that the burrito is beyond great. He finished his burrito and then went on to finish my nachos because dang that was a lot of meat chips. Found La Chancla originally on a food delivery app and we ordered three times within a week of finding it because it was so good! Today I went for the first time in person and it was even more amazing- I don’t eat meat but my mom said it was the best chicken taco she’s ever had in her life! The vegetarian options are great and the fresh handmade chips and tortillas really make this space even more special. We are so grateful this place exists and look forward to lots of future visits!
Delicious! I had the queso torta with grilled chicken. I loved it. They're ingredients are fresh. Their seasoning style is good. Even their frijoles de la olla were delicious. I also had their cucumber water. It was refreshing and flavorful. The service was great. The lady that helped us was very nice. She basically took care of the front by herself, and she did a great job. If you want to eat some delicious tortas, then this spot is your best bet.
Great little spot we found on the drive home from kayaking in Naples. Very friendly service! Everything sounded great. The carnitas and chili verde were good. My friend enjoyed a tostada bowl with the vegan veggie mix and really enjoyed it.Vegetarian options: Great to see that they had 2 vegan options, one a meatless chorizo and the other a grilled chili/corn and onion mix. I ordered a tostada bowl with pollo asada, yum. Ordered a chicharron taco (fresh tortillas) and burrito also yum... so very yum. In fact, my dad has Alzheimer’s so getting him to eat much can be tricky. He ate that burrito tho! ?I also ordered a horchata but I didn’t really care for it; not much flavor at all. Horchata isn’t exactly a deal breaker for me. I’d definitely go back for the food though.
The food was amazing. The tinga tacos are outstanding, definitely try them. They suggest the queso birria tacos, but those were not my favorite as they were too heavy on the cheese for my liking. Stick to the tinga tacos when you come here.
Small place. It seemed the AC wasn't working because the door was open and it was warm inside. Open door means we were constantly waving away the flies. Annoying. Food was a bit bland. Would probably not go back. Staff was very friendly.
The food at this restaurant is exceptional. The Mexican rice tastes homemade, as if a skilled cook is working in the kitchen, although I didn't see her. The music and service are also fantastic. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
I went in today for an agua fresca, and La Chancla did not disappoint. I had a delicious mango with lime and I can’t wait to go back. It was perfect for a hot summer day.
