This place has excellent food and service in warm setting. We ordered onion soup, mussels in garlic butter, emmanthal souffle, and Caesar salad to start. Onion soup was very delicious, not overly sweet as in many other places, mussels were yummy, the souffle was light airy and tasty and the Caesar salad perfect. Each dish had a great flavor profile and texture, really flawless. The baguette with butter was also good. We shared the lamb chops as an entree medium rare.
I was in town for a work event and my family that lives in the area took me here since it?s one of their favorite places. It was incredible. It was the best salmon I?ve ever had. I?ve never had French salmon that?s wrapped inside a pastry but it was so delicious. Make sure you order the soufflé when you place your entree order. They chocolate soufflé was PERFECT! Next time I?m in town I?ll be back.
The food was excellent, the atmosphere charming, and the service friendly and attentive! I had the lobster bisque and my wife a watermelon and feta salad (the watermelon salad stole the show). I had the quail special and my wife the sole. Both were quite good but again the sole stole the show. For dessert we both had souffle and both flavors were excellent!
What can you say?! A Washington institution on the french culinary front. Took my girl here for her birthday 11/19/22 and they did not disappoint. From the crusty bread to the venison medallions, to the shrimp and scallops, to the superb bottle of Vacqueyras ... delicious and promptly and professionally served. Fine French cuisine. Well deserved Michelin star in 2019. If you are looking for a top rated food experience this is the place. You need to make a reservation, the place was full on a Friday night. Not cheap but worth every cent. I had almond trout, pâté and Crème brûlée. All delicious.
French food and great service go together I have eaten here several times and the food is prepared correctly and served with proper etiquette. Sole flounder and the medallions are my two favorites. I look forward to going back again soon. Only open for dinner at this time.
French Classical Food Treasure Wonderful classic French cooking all the favorites amazing pate, escargot, lamb ,duck, and make sure to in your apple tart or soufflé order when order your main course. Great service and ambiance. Make time to enjoy the meal!
