La Cigale Du Golfe

We visited this restaurant, following a recommendation from our villa's agent, expecting a special experience. Our expectations, I'm sorry to report, did not bear any resemblance to our experience... The food was ok. There was nothing wrong with it but neither was it any better...than average no tastier than I can buy in my local supermarket. The service was another matter very inattentive and slow. The bill would have been steep, even had the food and the service been special ; in the event, it was simply outrageous. Frankly, we left at the end of our meal wishing we'd eaten elsewhere or simply stayed at home!

Situated on the busy coast road. Has undercover seating overlooking the marina. The restaurant is clean and modern but has a distinct smell of fatty cooking! Put off eating at the premises by seeing the chef smoking in the entrance of the premises!

Interesting and tasty food. Lebanese elements probably toned down by or merged with Mediterranean influences but still different from the usual fare along the Cote d'Azur. Friendly service, good atmosphere, reasonable value.

I am so happy that I've found such a good Lebanese restaurant in the Côte d'Azur. I have tried so many of them, and La Cigale has surpassed all of them ! Bravo to the team !

we have been there at least twice a month since the last years, eating is always excellent and welcoming so friendly! beautiful terrace at the harbour .
