We had 2 evening meals here as we was staying at the hotel. Both nights the meals were very good. The staff are very friendly and are able to speak a number of languages. We had the duck and the steak which were both good....Both nights we had a very leisurely meal, inside a nice environment (a little cool for the exterior). The place was full both evenings, and the majority of tables had been reserved, so a reservation would be recommended. The staff are very knowledgable about the wine, as they as also wine producers and serve a lot of they own wine (which is very good, and you are able to taste in the village). Would definitely eat in the restaurant again, if in Bergheim.
we stayed a few days in the hotel and had a meal included in our package. because there was no other choice at all, I was quite limited; my GF requirements have been identified, but the sauces have been taken away and not adapted. pudding. was probably on a knickerbocker style gloomy, but not with the right spoon to do it justice that all the others had! silly little dinge, but the service felt a bit haphazard. that the food we have eaten was good enough and some of the other dishes in the offer looked great that we simply did not have these options. I don't want them to eat here for our second night.
five years ago I left a very positive review for the hotel where this restaurant is located. the hotel was in the did excellent, and still is (the jacuzzi placed in an old set of buildings). but this time was the nice surprise the restaurant. we. were a party of three and after the attempt seven different restaurants in the region we rated this unanimously as the best. very good eating, excellent weeping (especially the sparkling Alsace wine produced by the owners) and really charming service, especially the headkeeper.
We absolutely adored our meal there last night, had the regional set menu and the gourmand menu. The flavours were delicate and rich, the wine pairings perfectly complimenting each course. The music and ambiance low key, rustic but not kitch. Just with the desserts we...were not completely sold on the wine pairing, but so far one of our top two meals we have ever eaten. the food is actually ok, but we had a lot of misunderstanding and other problems. some dishes of the day was not there, we got food not ordered, and other issues. (we ended up with getting the cremant and an extra glass of wine for...free), but the overall experiance was not good
we were here on a Sunday and fortunately this was open for lunch. I'd guess the booking, because it's filled up quickly. we sat in the beautiful courtyard, which was cleaned by colorful plants. service was excellent and spoke English.
a wonderful courtyard area and a very pleasant and tasty lunch on a hot day a nice place to relax and enjoy mountain home. highly recommended, you should definitely book in advance or turn on at 12 o'clock as it is very popular!

A very nice and welcome stay over in between our country and the destination country. Beautiful location, very nice wine tasting and you can eat in our eat out!
