this place was recommended to us by our friend who said that this is the best Cuban restaurant in los angeles, and he said the truth! the food was so good and the servers were so friendly. the three of us ordered the ropa vieja, the ochsen and the lechon, and all three dishes were spectacular. they get to choose 2 sides and so we all ordered the same sides of the sweet plantains and the moros (beans and rice cooked together.) the moros I had on others are usually dry, but that was very humid. I loved it! They also served us brot with butter before and it was perfectly warm and roasted. many of the reviews said these parts were huge, but I thought it was right. Our friend recommended this Cuban restaurant in Los Angeles as the best in the city, and he was absolutely right! The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. We ordered the ropa vieja, ox tail, and roast pork, all of which were fantastic. We were able to choose two sides, so we went with sweet plantains and Moros (rice and beans cooked together), which were surprisingly moist compared to others we've had. The bread and butter served beforehand was warm and perfectly toasted. While some reviews mentioned large portions, we found them to be just right. We even had some roast pork leftover, so the server kindly brought us bread to make a sandwich with it later. We plan on returning...
the food was excellent and fresh. it took a little to get the food, but when it came, everything was made fresh. empanadas reminded me when my mother. fried pork was delicious. so was the bitter empanizado. red bohnensuppe was great. you could say that it wasn't sitting and then microwave. this is a small business in front of the Cuban restaurant in glendale and deserves our paragliding. go further there and/or take the order out.
The food is always good,. The lengua stew is rich and so homemade it's like eating a mom's home cooked meal. The plantanas and moro rice is really tasty, not bland like some other restaurants make it. I hate to knock off a star, but service a little slow tonight, probably because of covid. So I won't. this place is the best! everything is super fresh and delicious. my favorite meal is the pfanne con bistek and a large glass malbec! they also have the best stones in the city. Perfect if you starve after a long day on set~ yummm!
I hadn't been there in a while. Still delicious. I had the fried chicken, and it was golden, crispy, and tasty. The papas rellenas, the yucca, morros everything was great. So glad the food hasn't changed.
I have no words to express how delicious the food was. We had to wait a bit for our food, but that was understandable because they were packed. Super worth the wait though!

Best Cuban food in SoCal buy a long shot I have tried all of them. I know, if you want home style Cuban food this is where you go.
