This is a really good spot if you want basic Americanized Mexican food and drinks — which, let’s face it, we all wanna do once in a while. Food itself is fine by that standard, margaritas are not great — mine tasted very watery and was garnished with a couple peanuts? Kids menu is on point, and they have tap beer and full bar. Space is cozy and service is friendly. Would watch a game here or do a happy hour with old friends. Students — bring your small town parents here, nothing here will freak them out. That said, this place would be better if it was either cheaper (which would match the food) or open super late (it would be perfect greasy late night food stop). Sadly it closes kinda early....

The chips and salsa were great. We also added the queso. Which cost $22. $5 per basket of chips $11 for queso. Great but not worth $22 Paloma was decent. Kids Burrito was standard. Fish tacos were not great? and I wanted to love them so much and this place! The chips and salsa were good so I had hopes for the fish tacos. We got both the fried and not fried. The non-fried fish was watery and incredibly blan. The pineapple Pico de Gallo was clearly made with canned pineapple, which I think added to the watery tacos. The fried fish tacos were super blan. The seasoned sour cream served with the tacos added no additional flavor. Beans and rice were fine. Service was pleasant but slow. We were not...
I spent $62 for me and a friend. I got a $7 glass of wine he got a $15 margarita which was awful. He ordered a half order of meatless nachos $15 I order the chicken enchiladas. $19 Margarita was awful. $15 No meat in nachos $15?! 2 Chicken enchiladas $19 $62 with tip. I can tell why the place was empty. It was 6:30 and the place was dead. At these prices who can afford to eat out anymore?! If they keep these prices up. They will run themselves out of business. Very Americanized. Favorite spot years ago. Tamales are seasonal. No longer available on menu.My tacos were made with hard shell. No authentic Mex restaurant makes tacos like that. It's a 1970's American thing. No napkins on table had to request. No knifes provided just a fork. Never going back.
This is a great local restaurant with a friendly fast staff. The food is good quality but not too spicey. I like very hot food and this is not what I would call hot but probably good for most people. The happy hour drink prices were amazing and they have discounted appetizers.
Nothing available on the children's menu. The food was mediocre at best. Not authentic. Definitely on the basic midwest Mexican taste buds. Even the chips and salsa weren't great. How do you screw this up? Basic. If you are looking for authentic choose another place.
With a gift card, found my new favorite place for Tacos!! Had the carne asada with corn peel and the meat was juicy and tender. Adolpho at the bar was nice and patient and I enjoyed the Caribbean mum drink he served. Clean small key place, will definitely be back. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
On Thursday for a drink and dinner. The place was empty. Food is expensive and not good. They refuse to serve MILD sauce, which is strange for a falling restaurant. Go to Boca Chica for good food.
