The food at la estacion will likely never disappoint t you. They’ve got a phenomenal array of dinners to choose from. I e seen their Sunday brunch setup but never made it in time but it’s on my list. My husband gets the chimichangas every single time we go, he loves them. You get three of them in the meal he licks and you can choose a different meat for each one if you’d like. I like to try something new almost every time I go. Todays choice was the bistec a la mexicana. It had just the right amount of kick without being overwhelming and plenty of flavor. Went in on a Saturday night at 7pm with our 3 small kids. We had Javier as our server in own train car with very few other people. Food was excellent as well as the atmosphere. But Javier was the best. He played trains sounds for the kids and kept them engaged during the meal by making jokes and making it all around a great experience. Will definitely be going back and requesting Javier!! Edited to add that the bob marley margaritas were amazing too!!
La Estacion is a hidden gem. The restaurant is located in an old railway station (the name La Estacion), is huge and even offers seating in an old train car. I don't know anyone who has no kick of it. The food is good. An extensive menu, including some traditional Mexican dishes and to-die for desserts. And last but not least are the Margaritas!
Food was pretty good!! I usually don't finish my food and take leftovers home, didnt have any this time. Service was just okay, never got refills or checked on until the end. Glad the food was good so the experience was still good. Prices were pretty good. Would come back.
