I hadn’t visited this bakery in a few years, and I was shocked by how much it has changed. It seems like the original owners sold the place, and I have to say, I will never return! The new owners and staff are incredibly rude. The girl at the counter had a bad attitude and provided terrible customer service—something I had never experienced here before. The pan dulce was disappointing too; it doesn’t taste the same and is surprisingly bland. It’s really disappointing to see this place lose its charm, especially since it used to be my father’s favorite bakery.
This bakery is literally squeezed in a corner strip shopping center, but plenty of delicious Mexican bread is being baked here. The conchas and other sweet bread are toasty on the outside, but soft inside. The coffee served here has a distinct delicious taste to it. If you need creamer, they keep a half gallon of milk in their cooler for your coffee. Don't expect ritzy, art deco inside this establishment, the focus is on the excellent product being produced here! Also, don't forget to ask the employees which is the bread of the day!
The flavors of every pastry were absolutely delicious! I loved how cleverly you made mini versions of all my favorite traditional Mexican treats. From conchitas and cochitos to gusanitos, elotitos, canastitas, and empanadas filled with pineapple, squash, and cream—everything was delightful. The polvorones were also fantastic! Overall, everything was delicious; I will definitely be ordering takeout boxes next time I'm in town to share with my family and friends back home. Congratulations to the owners, bakers, and staff!
The food here is delicious, and there are three sizes to choose from: small, medium, and large. While it is a bit more expensive than other places, if you value quality over quantity—like at Northgate, Superior, or other markets—La Favorita is the way to go.

I usually love going to this bakery for the mini conchitas...but I'm giving 1 star for the terrrible customer service by Marie around 5 pm. She was rushing me out of the store and gave me so much attitude. I can get conchas elsewhere.
The bread is very good. But the ladies are Super rude. Las señoras que atienden son muy groseras.
