Two of us are at La Flambée on Thursday evening. They had perhaps 20 other diners, a lovely relaxed atmosphere. We were able to have a table fairly close to the open cheminée so could see the chef at work before the feu de bois. Having had a 4 course meal the evening before in Northern France, we both chose a simple grilled gammon steak. It was really well presented and cost an amazing 11€, accompanied by a 50cl pichet of red Côtes du Rhône at 9.80€, it became a fairly cheap night! Service as ever was attentive and professional, parking easy. All in all a very pleasant occasion.
On our way to buy wine in Clesse my son and I stopped for lunch based solely on the Trip Advisor review. What a splendid restaurant! Charming welcoming people really good food and a lovely open terrace with fresh air coming into the body of the restaurant through large slid black doors. I had the house special pizza which had creme fraise on it and my boy had a splendid burger which made him happy (and me a bad parent). It came to 32 euros with drinks and tip. Not cheap but wonderful to these travellers.
Dogs welcome (2 Beagles), efficient waiter service. Pretty busy Sunday evening. The kitchen is in the restaurant area so you can see what is cooking. We ordered Magret de canard, it was grilled over open fire and came with a jacket potato and some vine tomatoes. Good flavours and double the size of what we had in other places. The total cost including a pichet Rosé and crème brûlée as désert was €54. A really pleasant evening.
We've frequented this lovely restaurant each year for the last 7 or 8 years when visiting family in the Tournous area and always enjoy the food. Next to a motel/hotel it can get busy in the summer and this July we had to wait over...an hour from being seated at our table to placing our order and a simple two course meal taking well over three hours, which lessened the experience for us.

We noticed this place when having a puncture repaired nearby and decided to give it a try. My wife is more adventurous than I am, trying a king prawn kebab As usual I reverted to my safe bet and had a pizza. Both of us...enjoyed what we had. Mine was the best pizza I have had in a long time. The staff were very friendly and appreciated (I hope) that we tried with our poor French.
One thing is sure, they have best culinary in the world. Every small village every town and city is full with exclusive restaurants and la flambee is not exceptional. This time I had only lunch but already from it you get the idea how good is this place. I will come back for dinner, soon. Ps. They have foie gras to go. Very good quality (goose liver)!!!!
De passage et pres de notre hôtel sur la route des vacances , la carte est fournie et alléchante ; Coté entrée de bonne surprises avec les oeufs meurette mais un bémol pour la terrine maison très compacte et pas assez rustique. Les plats sont en général de bonne facture et le service un peu brouillon .
Very good! nice place terrace all glazed. The friendly welcome. We took a coktail, cocas, large bottle of water. Pizzas that were good, desserts. all for I recommend the address.

Nice wines, but they just had to open the bottle! Food was average and easily fogotton. Starters no to bad but simple burgers where not good.
