I recently visited this restaurant in person after a missed delivery in February 2024 and was not disappointed. The interior of the restaurant is brand new, the staff remains the same which is a good sign. The food was delicious and offered great value for money. I have never had any issues with the food here, the hoagie is larger than any other takeout place in Falkirk and better. The pizzas are also good. As someone who has worked as a chef and in a chip shop before, I can appreciate the skill and timing required to produce quality fried food. This restaurant definitely knows what they are doing. My partner and I decided to treat ourselves to a meal from La Gondola Chippy after a tough day at work. We visited the new shop in La Port Precinct Grangemouth on Monday, August 21st at 7:20pm. The total cost for our Fish and Chips and King Rib Supper came to £15.80. Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed with the quality of the food. The chips were undercooked, the fish was small and lacked flavor, and the batter was soggy and poorly cooked. The King Rib seemed old and tough, almost like it had been sitting around for days. It's a shame to see the decline in quality, as this chippy used to be the best in the area. We will not be returning and I would have given zero stars if possible...
WORST CHIPPY EVER… I came in with my two kids and immediately got a whiff of a pungent dirty smell. The floors were horrifically dirty and looked like they haven’t been mopped in weeks. I ordered a fish supper for myself, two kids sausage suppers and some wee juices for me and my wains and when I got up to the counter the man who was on the chips started shouting at the young lassies on the till! In my time I have never seen a boss, somebody who should be a role model and always treat staff with respect talk to young lassies like that. I certainly will not be returning and I do not recommend anybody who wants half decent food and basic respect visits La Gondala.
Went in once bought a Donner hogie and was amazed at the size and quality for the price. So other night I ordered a king rib supper and juice delivered but it never showed, luckily I never paid by card and was going to pay cash at the door. I was in all night waiting, not sure what the problem was, but I won't be ordering a delivery from here again for sure. I might pop in if I'm starving for a bag of chips but I refuse to spend my cash at a takeaway delivery service that leaves people with no evening meal.

Not sure who the guy is that cooks the chips but his attitude is off the scale rude The manner in which he spoke to myself was astounding I asked if they can do the chickens in batter His reply Do you see it on the menu? I thought i had mistaken what he said and asked again he just never even acknowledged and the manner he spoke to the young lady working was astonishing if i were her father id be down immediately to deal with him WOW
Attitude from the bully who owns this establishment is disgusting. I actually had to walk out if here wait fir my order outside the shop just so I did not need to listen to how he spoke with his staff. I would rather starve than give this thug any money we for sure won't be back here.
A brilliant new chippie! The same company but a better location :you can sit and relax inside very pleasant experience the food was really well prepared and executed.spot on And that is my critic of this establishment,Trust me I'm a Chef but most good chefs love a good chippie!
Substandard over priced food and an awful environment to be in. The boss John shouted at and belittled the young female staff while customers were in the shop. God knows what he does when no one is in. Will never be back. Awful place.

This restaurant experience was pretty average, with not much food for the price paid. It felt like I could have gotten more value elsewhere. I wasn't very impressed with the portion size or quality of the food.
I went to la gondola for lunch today I sat in and had fish and chips it was delicious I sometimes get a takeaway on a Friday I would definitely recommend it
