We, a family of 2 adults and 2 teens, had set evening menus. Restaurant was empty but we were placed inside in the heat of summer, still 22C at the time, at a corner table, when asked about other tables (with a bit of air around us! we were told these were reserved (must have been for another day as they were closing after we left and just us in from 20:00-21:30. No doors open we were really hot, but served what I would class as winter fare: duck, my son had beef steak very tough but that’s typically northern France’s way, I had veal kidney which was too rare one side of the plate over cooked on the other with a huge portion of pasta in the middle which sounded nice but way too much especial...
If you are visiting the bay of Somme and leaving restaurants of the sea, I recommend you book a table at the restaurant "La Grange" in Saint Riquier. The chief's wife will welcome you in a rustic and somewhat overanimated setting. The quality and flavour of the products have nothing rustic! It’s just succulent! We tested the sea plate (a combination of fish and sacred jacques) perfectly cooked and especially for dessert the floating island ... a party. If you like traditional cuisine, with taste, flavors, I can only recommend this restaurant! You won't be disappointed!
Back there again after our travel on the way home. Always a warm welcome from the hostess and the same good food from the chef...husband. Chef good at mixing flavors. Last night had a small tourte with salmon,avocados etc, very tasty. The chicken and duck mix was light and the desserts...very sinful!!!!! Quiet place and very please to see that on their menu they have now in red letters...children welcome ...if parents make them behave so that they do not make a noise.....of course they have put it in a very diplomatic way...WISH OTHER RESTAURANT WOULD DO SO!
Small town with this great restaurant...does not look much from outside but pleasant inside with country feel. Owner and her husband,the chef run this place ,have been before and the menu is always very good and different. You get a warm welcome and nothing is too much trouble. Different price menu, we took the 35 euros one and it was excellent,good selection of wine but not cheap! Recommendation,check or make a reservation as they do have birthday party or large party sometime so better be safe than sorry.
We used their catering service. We weren't disappointed. It was beyond our expectations. The cooking of cold meat was perfect. Campagnard salads were delicious. And the cheese tray, a real pleasure. Thanks to you, the grooms enjoyed a lot and thank you. Good continuation.
Nice people,great chef,good food! Back again when we visited St Riquier as the food is always top . Best restaurant in the town! Make sure you are hungry when you get there as the portion are generous or dont have the starter or dessert...difficult decision!!!
Good meal and pleasant staff.when we went not busy so just the owners. Lot of north dishes ...meat...and meat...but good chef. The house wine was ok but plenty of other choice . Well presented and reasonable price.
very good address of reception quality dishes, tasteful and hearty foie gras excellent home, salmon marinated the summit we loved all a great thank you for the pti plus on the dessert plate of my son
The Restaurant is pleasant, warm.The welcoming lady is attentive, kind. The meals are homemade, and it is excellent and served with generosity. I recommend , ..the picard string is excellent
