Most of the sand dunes about 50 metres deep) have also been washed away and instead of the gently sloping wooden steps down to the beach, one now needs to take a short course in mountain climbing to manoeuvre a tricky path down the sheer rock face left. Stumbled across this somewhat hidden gem of a restaurant. Quite a smart (but casual) looking restaurant accepted us for lunch despite having cycled close to 50km. Cool beach style building set back from the beach itself close to the pine trees and with a big terrace. I chose Coquilles San Jacques with a curry sauce . Cooked perfectly and the sauce was delicious. My daughter had the salmon with pesto sauce equally delicious. Friendly, efficient service made for a very enjoyable break from our exertions. Thanks. This is a lovely spot for lunch. Friendly and welcoming lots of little dogs and little children! Not your average beachside shack but a proper outdoor restaurant serving delicious well presented food. I had tuna and my husband had duck with foie gras. The children's meals were a big hit: fish, burger and chicken with heaps of chips. Cafe gourmand of chocolate cake raspberry tart and fruit cream was easily large enough to share. Not cheap but great value for the quality of the food and the gorgeous setting. Advisable to book.
Unable to park anywhere near the dune du Pyla we stumbled across this hidden gem at la Plage Lagune, expected average beach restaurant to then be pleasantly surprised by fresh gambas and tuna, cooked to order and personal preference accompanied with amazing Japanese fusion style dressings .... beautiful, highly recommended will visit again. Followed by fantastic melange of ice cream to personal taste, pistachio, strawberry, sales butter, nuts Chantelle etc. mmmmm
We were looking to have a late lunch when we discover this café in the dune. The service and the food amazed us in this remote place with a very relaxing view. The rosé was perfect, the beef, hamburger and the veal (pink! were perfect and very tasty. Worth the price and to keep in mind if you are in the surrounding by nice weather! Don't miss it!
Great staff, great service, superb chef and really nice choice of wines, make this a must dine place when visiting this region of the Cote D ' Argent. Always a good recommendation but best to reserve in advance or you will be disappointed.
We had an amazing meal here with our 4 children, beautiful location, friendly staff and amazing food! A definite must for a warm summers midday or evening meal. The icecreams are a must , but careful, they are not small!!
Fantastic restaurant, in a gorgeous setting. The food was incredible and staff very friendly. Only a small menu but everything was fresh and excellently prepared. You also can’t beat the view out to the ocean.
