Visited for dinner and chose the menu of the day at E40 for five courses.We were offered a generous amuse bouche which amounted to a extra starter course, followed by celery veloute which was delicious. A salad followed and then turbot with polenta and an orange sauce- beautiful. A good cheese board followed, rounded off with a refreshing dessert. A good bottle of wine, not cheap, but not too ruinous completed a superb meal. Complemented by friendly and attentive staff who allowed just the right time between courses.We will certainly be back when we visit our friends nearby next year.
We had a great dinner at La Metairie. We chosen the menu of the evening with fresh celeriac soup that could be had warm or cold, salmon tartare, roasted duck with peach and creme brulee. Every single course was cooked perfectly and delicious. The service was absolutely fantastic and our lovely waiter also spoke perfect English which was of great help given my very basic attempts of French. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at La Metairie and will return when we are back.
We only stayed one night, but I wish we’d stayed longer. The hotel is beautifully located and is immaculate in every respect. We were met with a very warm welcome and shown to our lovely room. The pool area is lovely and just what we need after a long drive The being dinner is served on the rear patio and all 4 courses were beautifully prepared and presented. Also a super wine list We will definitely retain! Many thanks
We stayed in the hotel on the Welcome Package which means that dinners were included. We were allocated the same table for breakfast and dinner and on the table was a little stand with the name of our room. The menus (although it was a set menu) were accessible and the food was cooked to perfection. We ate very well during our 3-night stay there and the wines were good too.

We were the only people having lunch on a Tuesday at this charming hotel yet you would not have noticed. The service was friendly and excellent. The food from the brasserie menu was perfect. Various combinations of melon and ham for starter followed by duck or steak. A really enjoyable meal.
Very good meal and service in a very tranquil setting. Food was very well presented and excellent value. Cheeseboard was very good for the region. The staff are charming and knowledgeable and the wine list has a good selection of local wines of all quality and price. A memorable evening!
I usually don't review and grand superlatives but this place was superb. Quiet, Great staff, excellent food, beautiful grounds, and lovely rooms. Plus it has a huge swimming pool. If you're going to the region I would highly recommend it.
La Metarie is a wonderful find. Only a few rooms but quiteljuxurious, well managed, friendly and comfortable. The food is excellent and dining on the outside terrace overlooking the fiels is a joy. Excellent pool as well.

Very beautiful places personnel extremely kind polite and helpful. Great chef and delicious dinner on site. One of the best places I have ever been and I would highly recommend without any hesitations
... ideal place for a break during a hike through the woods along the Dordogne: We‘ve enjoyed our stop there and had a freshly brewed coffee with most delicious sweets.
