We were heading into a show, so we needed something about an hour and a half before the performance. As it turns out, La Parra serves tapas within about 5-10 minutes of ordering, so we made our show with plenty of time to spare. We took a ride out to Berwyn to La Parra Restaurant. I really wish La Parra had lived up to the hype I read about, but, it did not, not completely. We went on a Thursday afternoon and it was not crowded.so there is no excuse for the lack of attention. Our waiter was rushing us even though it was our first time here. I was shocked to see the reason he was rushing us, because he was giving more attention to another table. Perhaps he expected a bigger tip (little did he know that we tip very well with good service. I was looking for someplace different for my Birthday dinner and came across La Parra. We are so glad we tried it and how I didn't know about it surprises me. This place was great! From the drinks, food, and the service was really top notch! We started with drinks, I had the special, a vodka peach drink. I don't remember the name but it was fantastic. Not too sweet it was really tasty. We both had salads, my husband had the pear salad and I had the beat and goat cheese. Delicious! I had a great time at La Parra! It 's located in Berwyn and has street parking that I had no trouble finding right in front of the restaurant. They 're known for their creative cocktails which they feature on their Instagram page. The staff right away were super friendly and welcoming and our waiter did a nice job of reviewing their current special cocktail menu. EVERYTHING was great here today. I don't think I ever said that about any restaurant before and will RARELY take the time to post a review. Very nice clean (including the bathroom), ALL of the food was delicious!! Including the complimentary warm foccacia and hummus. I had the pear salad and had them add salmon avocado to it, a, lemonade and a tiramisu to go. My daughter the chicken fettuccine with a side of fries. The service and all of the staff were great, nice polite, too! I hope they stay successful in business for a VERY long time, and hope to return, even though I live far from there now.
I'm just glad there's a cute little date spot around my neighborhood. This place is always crowded at night. At first the food seemed small in portion but I was surprised it was filling! The drinks are boozy and so fun to look at. Instagramable! Love this place! Try the Frida drink. It's super cute and delicious!
Our Saturday visit was pleasant and very enjoyable. Great Tapa's...Tempura Calamari Octopus and Tuna carpaccio The food fusion is well prepared. The service was on point. Cool ambiance and vibe. New paintings were showcased. And in my old neighborhood in Berwyn.
My friends and I came here for my pre birthday celebration. Awesome restaurant. The waiter was great. We ordered so much delicious food, it was ridiculous. Everything was great. I will definitely be back.

We really enjoyed our family dinner here. First time at La Parra. The patio seating was lovely because it's covered and warm. Plus it's not loud. Great variety of seafood, tapas, pasta and steak.
