La Petite Tonkinoise

We were 3 couples and it was our first time at this restaurant. As soon as you get in you feel at home as It's a very small restaurant located on the 2nd floor, you can easily miss it. We let our waitress choose the food we were going to eat. We do that all the time and we have never been disappointed. She started with papaya salads, 1 Goi Tom and 1 Goi Bo, then 2 fish soup Canh Chua Ca and 5 main dishes, grilled pork, curry beef, sweet potato cake with shrimp, grilled fish with vermicelli and caramelized fish. I found this restaurant to be underwhelming. The food and atmosphere did not impress me, and I even found the live fish tank to be a bit unsettling.

It is not fine cuisine and quite overpriced for average Vietnamese food. Terrace is gimmicky too, to be honest.

To start, we would give the lemongrass soup 6 stars. Overall, the restaurant was fantastic.
