Our favorite pizza place in Europe! Dropped by on a walk from our AirBnB. After enjoying a dark ale in the excellent, rough and ready Brasserie just up the road, The Pizza de Madeleine greeted us with a relaxed atmosphere created by friendly and very likely regular collections, with people clearly hanging our for a drink and a bite to eat. The server was most forgiving about my terrible French and we took the opportunity to try some very intriguing local beers during the advised 15 min wait. The drinks proved to be delicious brews with very unusual and well used herbs and fruits the curation of what 's available here seems very well informed! On the way to Lacanau, we stopped in Orléans. Of course we also had to have dinner and luckily we found this little restaurant. The hostesses were incredibly friendly and helpful.
